GT5P Gets it's first Endurance race!

If anyone is interested.......

I run the Weekly-ish Endurance Series (WES) on the 'Long Race Series' forum. A no qualifier, no commitment, play as and when you wish series just like the WRS in format, but longer!
This week I have posted a GT4/GT5P combination race @ Fuji Speedway F.

It can be ran in both GT4 & GT5P, using the same car, at the same track, with almost the same specs (1 Hp difference between cars)
30 Laps of the track, professional physics, no ASM, no Active steering, TCS allowed (but not advised), AI get 20 points more speed and sports medium tyres, you get sports soft tyres.

Just wondering if you have GTP's permission to do this, cause I would think this would 100% considered as advertising here.

Don't be silly, I run the series ON GTPlanet, in the GTPlanet Long Race Series forum, with the blessing of mods, super-mods, admins and I believe Jordan as well.

Of course it is advertising, but not of an outside site/forum/series. It's not an 'official' GTP series like the WRS, but it is officially approved of by GTP!

Chill out dudes! It's only a game when all is said and done!

I'm sure it'll be two different races.

Otherwise the GT4 players would probably win with simpler physics.

The results will be tabulated seperately, because as you say, the physics and such are different. So the times will be incompatable with each other.
Also, GT5P doesn't force pens in arcade yet, nor does it have tyre-wear, like GT4 does.

But I thought that it would be an interesting exercise to do a dual format race, with the same track, same car and same-ish specs.
And , yes!, I am unashamedly advertising my own series.

But,
A: There is no harm in that, as it is on GTP
B: The long Race Series forum gets fewer visitors than many of the other forums, so needs promoted.
C: There must be many new members of GTP that go straight to the WRS, and then look on here for GT5P stuff, and completely miss out the LRS forum through no fault of their own. When longer races may interest them.

Sounds interesting, I just might try it.

I noticed that the RX-7 is 40,000 in the EU version and it's 4,000,000 in the Japanese version. Did they convert the prices by taking off two zeros? If nobody knows yet, check out the RX-8. Is it 28,980 in the EU version?

Sounds Interesting. I'll have to wait for US version. I also have the Japanese version, but before Spec II patch came out I Uninstall the game from my HDD.

Get it re-installed, and do the update to Spec II!
The cars are the same so are the tracks, you just have to translate the text, but there is the translation thread to reference to for help, HERE

The race will run till Sunday night 20th April.

I made a silly little promise to myself. Not to play GT games until US version comes out. That way It will be like playing a GT game for the First time

It's only less then a week for the US version to come. I will have a couple of days to do that race.
