Hi. I'm getting G25 in few days. Can you suggest me what are the best options in GT5P for the most realistic driving experience and also for testing the wheel for the first time. For example, what strength of Force Feedback is optimal for the G25? What exactly is Active Steering? I want max realistic experience. Thanks and sorry for the English...

i have a g25 and i turn all that crap off. no abs. no active steering. no tcs. and i use the shifter the way it is in the real car.

literally though you plug it in, run the game and it should be good. UNTIL the new update that makes it all not work......

edit: you will be very happy with the purchase.

what on earth are you talking about?????

i think what he is trying to say is that once gt5 is out, PD will probably take away features of the G25 so that they can get consumers to purchase there other wheel. I think that would be a stupid thing but hey you never know.

By the way (to drag this thread back on topic for a sec)

myke6699 has reminded me ITT

that there are 3 assist settings in the controller menu - suggest setting to "simulation" for the most accurate feel. I suspect the other modes will merely teach you a whole bunch of bad habits and probably stunt your abilities as a driver, long term.

Initially it may make it more difficult but if you're only just getting the wheel you'll be at the bottom of the learning curve anyway - may as well learn the right way :sly:

surely not........ G25 and the new DFGT or whatever it's called are both out of the same building, that would be ridiculous if they went in that direction.

This conspiracy theory is sort of weird.

First off GT5P supports nearly every Logitech wheel out there atm. I have the G25, but when my neighbor picked up the game I borrowed him my Momo I had laying around and was stunned to find out that it worked great! Just setting it up was hard.

One thing GT5P has over 360 racers is wheel support. And so far its pretty good support.

Game companies dont want to force people to buy new products to play their game which is why they support the standard setup, controller, ahead of everything. They sell more games that way.

Polyphony doesnt sell racing wheels, they sell games. And Logitech would probably rather sell a G25 over their GT wheel. But having different priced wheels never hurts either.

Besides, why would they go through the trouble of supporting so many wheels just to take them out? And why would they want to remove the most immersive wheel on the market right now when immersion is their goal?

G25 is not going to be out. I think new GT 25 will be in, but wont take out the G25.. if so why GT5P still have options for old Logitech wheels?

Wrong! For the DFP, G25, or DFPGT the only option that makes a difference is the Steering Assists. The "Modes" are for the lesser wheels. like the Driving Force, GT Force, and Driving Force EX. The modes do not make a difference for the DFP, G25, or DFPGT.

Ah, okay - I stand corrected. First thing I did when I got my wheel was set it to simulation so I'd never have known
