Hey guys, new here. Couple quick questions:

Got my brand new G27 last night. So far ...well.....so amazing :P

- I noticed markings all over the logitech logo on the wheel where the horn is. Can someone confirm if there is a clear plastic film on this from factory? I dont want to start picking at it in case its not there resulting is f'in things up a bit...

Just wondering what most people use for G27 settings and GT5P? I dont want to mess with any settings too much and make anything worse..lol. Anything else I need to know regarding using the G27 wheel with this game?

Thanks in advance guys. Glad to be here.

Welcome to :gtplanet: dude.

I also own a G27. As far as I remember there's no horn in the wheel, but if you talk about the black cap that holds the wheel in place and has a Logitech logo I don't recall it having any plastic film so it's better that you're careful with it ;). The only film I remember was in the shifter module.

Also, there's a thing we reccomend to all new users of this forums and is using the "Search" button before creating a new thread, since most of the time people ask for questions that have already been asked. In this thread you'll find very useful information on how to set up your new toy for GT5P.

Hope I helped 👍.

Yes there is a plastic film on the logitech logo. (Which you can remove easily)

As for the settings, I use: 5 FFB, Simulation and no power steering.

Very true 👍. I tried peeling a little harder and it came off, now the logo looks more shiny! :D.

Good news guys thanks for the info on the logo/film. The film on the shifter is that covering the main part where all the buttons are?

Sorry about the other quesions. I belong to numerous forums and am a big user of the search button , I just got a little keyboard happy and was trying to throw that in there before I left work and also hopes that I could have some info for when I got home.

Thanks again guys. Looking forward to building a cockpit this weekend :)

No biggie man 👍. Yes, the film in the shifter module is all over the steel plate (where the buttons and the "Power" LED are). Also, good luck with building your cockpit, I'm sure you'll find amazing ideas in this forums (Like the one done by Chilicoke .

Thanks man. Actually I'm not really building a cockpit but more so a seat etc. I have a comfy fake leather chair which sits low and I'm thinking it's gonna work great. When done I'll be racing on a 129" screen/projector setup :)
