As there is a launch party this Thursday I wondered of anyone on here is going? If so drop me a PM and maybe we can meet up. I have withnessed Nissan doing some of the special filming this weekend with the GT-R round london so i cant wait to see the finished article.

its an invite only event I just figured some on here would be going Kaz is coming amongst others
 
GT4's launch party was lush! They had some rare cars on display and everyone who went got a goody bag full of cool stuff...

there are going to be rare cars and its a similar theme to GT4. Also talk of a PS3 bundle for everyone? But I will believe it when I see it.
 
If i wasn't on my hoildays and back at uni i would be going, but its annoying that its being released in this 2 week break i have

There's a Sony Launch Party tomorrow for GT5P in India, Mumbai. THIS is invite only (i am guessing for journalists / press from different publications) although a friend of mine is a game reviewer and he knows 'am a GT nut, so I am invited. :) .. Now I am not sure if the NA version is any different from the Europe / Aus version? I am pretty sure we'll either be getting the UK or the Aus version here..

Also, what all do I need to know, coz this is going to be my first ever launch of this kind. (I'd gone for a Halo3 launch party, but that was more of a party than any Q&A based conference).

The launch party took place at Cumberland Gate car park at Marble Arch in London, and there were a few tasty cars there:

The TV screens behind the GT-R were running a video of in-game footage that was cut with live footage shot on the streets of London over Easter. You could tell the difference, but that was mainly down to the weather in the shots...

There were only four booths with the game running, three of which had the new GT Pro wheel, the fourth with a DFP. All versions were fully unlocked, and people were racing full F1 grids, tuner races and drift competitions.



The PS3s were mounted in front of the wheel, shrouded by fake exhaust manifolds:


 
I wonder if the PS3s also had personal bodyguards armed with AK-47s?

Seriously, given the size of this website one of the mods/admins (though Jordan might have a fair way to come) should be able to get into events like these. We are a huge GT website.
