Do you think PD's graphical weak-point is making environments? Now I dont want to make a Forza vs GT thread, but that's one thing Forza excelled on. The worlds look really natural and the detail really stands out.

With exception though, I think GT excels with urban based tracks(except NYC, glad they scrapped that,no Brooklyn Bridge=fail).

But even my brother agreed that many of GT's natural environment tracks feel bland and kindof uninspired. I have yet to see a track with a waterfall like in Forza.
Only track I've seen in all of GT where there is moving scenery is in GT2 where there is a train moving. Forgot what it was called.

Except Forza is not photorealistic. GT is. Thats the rub.

I love Forza for what it is, and hate Forza for what it is - the same is how I feel about GT5.

BUt I need to also admit which are the various weaknesses - and Forza may have 'abmience' - but it is cartoon cell like ambience. Forza has the photorealism in the environment.

Now the Turn 10 team and the PD team could be forced to work on Gran Forza 1 together, we would have th eultimate game ;)

Hell ya. I was thinking more of "Gran Forshizmo" :trouble:

That'd shut them up then. We'd have one hell of a racing game, of course Microsoft will force PD and turn 10 to make it an Xbox only game, cause that's how they are.

I rarely have time to look at the environments while i am actually racing, yea during replays/b-spec i may say man them trees are ugly. But then again i see photomode shots of forza cars and i think some of them look pretty bad to.

Point is racing everything looks great your going at any decent amount of speed who cares if the trees are a bit pixilated when they wizzing by at 120+mph.

And lest for the premium cars, they blow forza cars out of the ocean. Lighting also seems better in gt5. While some track details look better in forza, but what is more important some track details or the cars/lighting?

GT5's car models are very detailed. I know one of the reasons release was delayed was because they had to cut corners visually in order to achieve constant 60 FPS. I don't think more detailed environments would have been possible without sacrificing performance which they were not willing to do.

Yes they could look better, but only at the expense of framerate, vehicle detail or weather/lighting effects none of which are worth it. They've supposedly already pushed the PS3 to its limit with this game.
