Got an Euronix flyer today GT6 - 29 euros. (2 months old) GTA 5 - 49. (4+ months old)

Obviously GTA 5 sells much better than anything else out so there is no reason to drop the price but still 2 months for retailers to enter the "we must get rid of this" phase for GT6 means they bought too much of it and have plenty of copies left.

Can't blame them - they probably don't follow gaming sites so they thought "hey new Gran Turismo! Let's buy two trucks!" only to be unpleasantly surprised by the lack of interest.

On Amazon France, this game is 45€ for last few week. Before his release, about 50€-54€

GTA V on Amazon France, we pre-ordered for 45€... Now, we can buy for 40€.

Well said. After all, it's on sale on PSN so it's not like there is a huge surplus stock that needs getting rid of, although some companies may have bought more stock and then not shifted as many as expected so are reducing prices. Mind you, it seems that a lot of games have a significant price drop fairly soon after launch. Have just had a look on the Amazon best sellers list and am surprised by their prices:

Gran Turismo 6: £19.95
Grand Theft Auto 5: £20.00
The Last Of Us: £34.97
FIFA 14: £30.00
Need For Speed Rivals: £28.00
Call Of Duty: Ghosts: £20.00
Assassins Creed IV: £30.55

Admittedly GTA V has been out longer but still.....to have GT6 and GTA V at the same price is interesting, yet NFS Rivals is almost 50% more and TLOU getting on for double the price. Not sure we can read anything into prices just yet....in 6 months we can judge by where the price lies. And a sale on PSN may indicate poorer sales figures than Sony wanted/expected so are pushing it but that has nothing to do with stock issues

Without true sales numbers all this is speculation. But, bargain bin pricing on a premium title 2 months after launch is certainly curious.

if you are a member of best buy rewards zone, then you might remember the 20 off coupons for the last of us/beyond two souls that appeared around November.
still, would be nice to see some official numbers.

I had a quick read through your posting history. It shows a very negative outlook, so much doom and gloom.

Im fine. Im playing GT5 right now. The doom and gloom is due to the fact that this product is garbage. It was rushed to make a few bucks. But you cant fool all of the people. Im not the only one to give this junk a bad grade, just look around these boards
