The theme of Gran Turismo’s innovative collaborations with partner companies will increase with the inception of GT6. A number of exciting new projects that blur the line between the virtual and real will be announced in the run up to the game’s launch. Not least of these is GT Academy, a collaboration with Nissan to unearth real racing driver talent that first ran in 2008. It was announced during the event that the competition returns for its biggest ever year in 2013, with the entry mechanic set to take place on an exclusive GT6 demo in July.

Grand Prize this year is a full season. Only about 2 months to prepare...

I think those were the cars featured in the presentation trailer. The upcoming demo seems to be GT Academy and I doubt we'll see anything else than Nissan's in that.

Yeah that's all the cars that were in the trailer. Interesting!

That's what I thought as well. Autoblog states they'll be available in the demo in July, but I doubt it'll be these cars. I think this may be an error, especially considering Nissan's previous involvement.

The way I understood it from the press release, this list is of the cars available in the demo on the event today, not for GTAcademy.

Either I've misunderstood, or other people have, but I was under the impression that GT Academy 2013 was in the GT6 demo, not the other way round, which would explain the car list. Of course, we probably won't know until it's released, so we've got a roughly 2 month wait... :grumpy:

A for reading comprehension. Exactly right. Those are the cars in the demo at the presentation. Kaz said the GT Academy demo will feature various Nissan cars just like the last one.

There's also this in the news section:

"It was announced during the event that the competition returns for its biggest ever year in 2013, with the entry mechanic set to take place on an exclusive GT6 demo in July."

It could be a minor error, but if it's not it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect the cars from the Silverstone demo.

Most likely Nissan's at Silverstone on a GT6 build which would be a nice treat to play :) I loved the GT Academy 2010 demo with the 370z at Indy
