GT6 network offline

I haven't been on GTPlanet for a little while so im a bit behind on whats the latest etc.... anyway I tried to go open up the GT6 community but a message has popped up saying Network is offline. has anyone else had this. and is there a new update coming this weekend sometime ?
 
Odd, I was just able to login to the open lobby and do a few races a few minutes ago...
 
ok I just restarted GT6 and still cant get in the GT6 community or do online
