Anyone have an idea why there are so many eBay auctions for GT6 "Disc Only"... it just doesn't seem right that all of these people would have chucked their case and instructions in the short time GT6 has been out, something's not right.
Hoping to find a good copy/price in the next couple of days.

39.99 at Amazon and gamestop

I know there was a lot of faulty disc's so be careful.

Some buy lot of gt6 anniversary sell the disc buy the cheaper disc sell code with cheaper disc - lot of work for profit - also some would just buy and sell separately disc, bundle of empty case, and anniversary code

Found the Anniversary Edition at Gamestop for $39, glad I didn't have to bother with eBay, thanks @Khyber for the heads-up.

May be they realize GT6 has been a lot of hype, and doesn't measure up to 5? I'm starting to think that way. Sure, it's new, and yes the graphics are a little better, but that's it. Everything off the race track is anoyingly less thought out. Been GTing a long time. With 6, I think I might be done. Just not compelled to continue.

Sony saving a few dollars by not pressing reviewer-specific versions of the disc perhaps?

Or they got the digital copy for $39.99, then flip it over for $50/$60 to dumas'es who thinks it hard to get item since it just came out and now they have gt6 for free and possibly $10.

People are always stupid with their money this time of year.

WHAT? I pre-ordered mine for $60 at Gamestop, thinking it was the only way to get the 15th Anni Edition. Then, read on here that some people were able to grab it right off the shelf at GS.

Has it really already dropped 20 bucks in less than a month, or is that the pre-owned price? Usually takes at least a few months for new game prices to go down. :(

EDIT: Also, a good friend of mine received an advance review copy for work 2 weeks before launch (lucky punk!) and the disc is not printed the same as my store-bought copy.

Yeah gamestop mostly has the anniversary since it was their exclusive

@Khyber I was mainly asking about the price. If it's really dropped 20 bucks in less than a month, I'm feeling kinda ripped off right about now..:dunce:

In regards to the "flood" of disc-only eBay listings, its probable that they are stolen. Heard many stories from a few friends who worked at a GStop about some people bringing in 30 or more copies to of the same game to sell (Madden, COD, etc..) disc only. A few "regulars" came in to pull this trick any time a major launch came out. The employees knew they had most likely "fallen off the back of a truck;)" but had no choice and had to accept them.

In my case it was a new shrinked-wrapped copy, not pre-owned.
