FIX that connection problem!!!!!
it's really getting on a lot of peoples nerves!!
I'm seriously thinking about quiting this game, cus I cant even drive 1 lap without having this issue..
and no it's not my internet provider, cus I have unlimited internet.

It's just their f'in chinese server..

FIX THAT RIGHTAWAY!!!! (if it's not fixed with the next update, im gonna sell this game...)
 
Try turning off all the in game music & see if that helps. It was a known bug in GT5 with User BGM that's maybe been carried over into GT6.

By the way, Japanese not Chinese. 👍
 
Wow... the amount of ignorance and racism in that post...

1. PD is Japanese.

2. GT5/6 online uses P2P infrastructure, which relies on the connections of everybody in the room. If they were dedicated servers, it would be much better, but obviously that only comes with an investment on PD's side.

3. "Unlimited" internet means nothing, besides being able to use it as much as you want. There's a lot of factors when it comes to having a good internet connection, but even if you have the best connection in the world you can still have lag on GT6 because of what I said above.

Fix your PS3 network settings, go to ingame manual and educate yourself about prepping your PS3 settings for proper usage of online, create a static IP for your console, do not use wireless internet, consider it is P2P service that is heavy dependable of internet of all players in the room (one player with bad connection ruins game for everyone) and make sure to set up your console (IP) in the DMZ zone of the router if youre having NAT2 connection (or alternatively open the recommended ports on the router manually).

Also, due to upload speed and ping value being very important, do not use torrents or watch youtube on your phone while playing (snd ask people at your house to hold with internet as well if you can). Keeping a steady upload is of utmost importance.

And consider game has a damn fine network code for 60fps game with low-latency support, probably among the finest - as long as you have proper setup from your side.

And when you do all that, read a damn book about manners as bonus.
 
Clear you cache. Enable upnp, if that fail manually open the ports on your router that the ps3 needs
 
this is wrong on so many levels..

Only join rooms with fixed host. If its like in gt5 it is client server infrastructure that way. p2p is only in non fixed lobbys.
If your provider utilises DSLite it could very well be a problem on your/your providers side.
Clear network cache vefore you join a lobby
What has unlimited internet to do with the issue?

Yeah, screw PD! It's not like the game was suddenly announced straight out of nowhere and PD had pretty much no time at all to fix the issues players might get annoyed with!

Having unlimited internet usage has nothing to do with it one way or the other. Such a comment just shows that you know very little about what may be causing the problem and it is quite likely on your end if you always have the problem.

I have been disconnected a total of 3 or 4 times so far and have been online lots of times now, pretty much every day for the last couple of weeks and quite a bit before that. Of course I have a hard wired connection and a high end router which never gives me any issues.

One friend of mine uses a wireless connection and he gets dropped any time his phone rings, clearly a problem on his end.
