Well, I really enjoy the gameplay.
I really do NOT enjoy how slowly they are adding seasonal events. And I'm not happy that you cannot re-do them for more money like the gt5 ones. If I had known that, I would have got bronze, took the money, got silver, took money, THEN raced for real and got my golds. Now I have what 6? Events, all with golds, and the category is useless to me now, lol.

One the bright side, once again I learned from gt5 and knew what I needed to get to get me through the licenses and gameplay. The Mazda RX-7 touring car once again kills everything from 450 to 675pp with extreme ease. If you don't have one yet, get one, they are (like gt5) the most versatile cars to be throwing power %'s up and down, and have it still perform better then 99% of any competition. And it's FUN to drive.

So, advise to anyone just starting;
Get a rx7 TC, and get your seasonal event wins in order. Bronze, then leave and collect cash, then reenter and do silver, ect.

You would have gotten the same amount of credits regardless. You only get the prize for bronze, silver, and gold once. When you get silver, you get the prize for silver and bronze. And when you get gold, you get the prizes for gold, silver, and bronze.

Oh ok, so I wasn't cheated, lol.
Thanks for clearing that up.
They still need to produce more seasonals, and some like the gt5 kind that can be redone for cash grinding.

Wow, you made me feel so much better about that though, lol.

Wait, wait, wait... Remember that it took 5 months for PD to introduce the seasonal events in GT5. And at first, you were not earning much... I'm pretty sure as soon as 2014 starts we will get plenty to race about (and long update's downloading time!!! Patience is the key with PD. Who in the game industry keeps updating and improving constantly their games anyway?

AT the moment, there aren't many new seasonals as they have added the festive ones which (with the login bonus of 200%) can net you 12M credits. yes, it would be nice to get actual racing events rather than time trials but I am sure they will come in time.

They wouldn't be able to call them seasonal events if they all appear in December.

Also, the seasonal time trials were the same in GT5. You only win the money once, because you can only register your fastest lap time.

Hate to be that guy, but seasonal events were added to GT5 in December 2010, one month after the game came out.

I'm not sure if you played GT5, but big payout seasonals took a while to come because they basically destroy the game's economy by letting you make 20 million cr. in about two hours.

IMO they're more of a thing for when people stop being bothered to make money, and just want all the ultra-expensive cars.

The game's been out for three weeks.

Yeah, I only had about 9 months of gt5, the last 9.
So I came into gt5 with everything already in place.

IMHO, there are plenty of games that rely on economics already. If your "pretending" to be a huge racing worldwide conglomerate, one would assume you weren't making 15$/hr at Walmart, lol. To a point, I don't think money should be a 'huge' issue to make. The game, at least for me, is fun in 2 major areas; 1- honing my driving skills on various tracks and with various fun cars, and 2- honing my tuning skills, and challenging myself to perfect everything down to the last % point. I'm not saying that money should be falling off tree's, but like in gt5, once you've gotten to the point of racing/tuning, is it really necessary to stop having fun and grinding some car you've already mastered around a track you already KNOW your going to win, 10 times just to buy a 20mil car? At that point in the game, money stops being a challenge, and begins to be a hindrance designed to waste time. If say, I get home from work and have 3 hours only to play before I hit the sack, do I really want to spend 1 hour of it on a track I know with a car I know, for no reason other then to buy a new car to begin learning? Or wouldn't it be more fun to spend 10 minutes cash grinding, and 2 hours and 50 minutes actually enjoying and progressing? Again, that's just my opinion.

Yep, that doesn't change the fact that we got decent ones 5 months after that. I remembered being bored around february and didn't play until may. In any case, we should wait and see how things are going. If nothing happens, well, we sell the game and go to greener pastures. I maintain that we I was playing GT2 back in the days, it would take you 10 hours of redoing same races again and again before getting good money. I think from GT4 it got too easy, too fast... maybe to please the impatient new generations. I don't know... I'm feeling old... :indiff:

Among other events which throw money at you, three minutes spent at super speedway in a NASCAR, with 200% login bonus, gives you 180k.

In terms of the amount of money splashing about, career races virtually are seasonals, except there's a lot more variety.

100% agree on that, I got Gran Turismo 3 when I was about six and never got very far, and I really didn't mind, because compared to 4, 5, and 6 it was actually tricky.

I am pretty much done with GT6. GT6 is a stripped down version of GT5 + suspension + slight more gloss on cars.

For the addition of suspension and glossier (5% more gloss), we have given up trading of cars, paints, ability to buy cars with CR, Spec B gone, basically I am at a dead end. I have some money and I can afford to get like one good car in the 2million cr range and I am in Inteernational A opened up.

So I am doing just Dirty NASCAR online.

I am not into the time rial thingi at all..who wants to drive all by yourself? I got one BMW car with one of the time Trial..the rest of them sucks big time... who needs these

GT6 is a total FAIL for me.

B-Spec is coming back and Idk about you but I certainly have the ability to buy cars with CR. :D I'm glad trading is gone, I like being able to access all the cars I want rather than hope I have enough credits for the one I want when it finally comes around.

They are trying to insure the game won't be hacked again. Then they will port whatever they can to the PS4. Plenty of updates to come. But now it is stripped down and missing features. It will get better.

I have done little over 60hrs and I think and 65% complete. I know some people completed 100% in less than 50hrs so it depends how you play the game. I personally like everything in GT6. Seasonal events will be added I am sure. GT has lots of time trails and that is the way it is. But I will do the races in career mode again in different cars. So many cars to collect here.
