Hello everyone, and this was an idea that I had for a long time, and now I want to turn it into a real race series. (IMAGES WILL BE POSTED SOON!) This race series will combine the strategy game Risk with GT6. It seems like a good combination...

GT6 World War I

Objective

Control all 42 territories on the world map to dominate the world. You must take territories from other teams by attacking them and doing a Lap Knockout race.

Rules

We are playing with standard Risk rules. All players will represent 1, 2, or 3 troops depending on how many people we get.
1. Every team has one day to take their turn. Attacks (races) will try to be organized on the same day. If not, then we will schedule them as soon as possible. All players involved in the attack are responsible for setting up the race. I will host the room and steward the race live. (My PSN is pp-123) I will also post pictures of the map periodically for everyone to see how the game is going.

2. All teams have 3 phases to their turn: Draft, Attack, and Fortify.

Draft: Every turn, you get new troops (players) to deploy into your territories. Choose wisely on where you place them, because if you decide to attack from a country, you can only attack with the people that are in that country. The formula on how many troops you get is: (Number of Territories Owned+Cities Controlled)/3+(Number of Capitals Owned)+(Continent Bonuses). You must specifically state who you are drafting (there will be a queue on who is going to be drafted next so that you don't go for your best players).

When you own all the territories in a continent, then you get a Continent Bonus. You will get extra troops based on the continent you control. The amount of troops you get is as follows:

North America: 5
South America: 2
Europe: 5
Africa: 3
Asia: 7
Australia: 2

Attack: Once your troops are drafted and deployed, you can attack enemy territories that are adjacent to your territories. The way attacks work is a Lap Knockout race. The attacker chooses what category the race will be (For example, 500pp Racing Sport Soft, Super GT500 cars, LMP cars Spec, etc, etc.). The territory that you are attacking will decide the course that you are racing on. Attackers can attack with up to 8 troops at once (One troop must stay behind and not attack to keep the territory claimed if the attacker loses), and defenders can defend with up to 8 as well. The way a lap knockout race works is every lap, the car in last place is eliminated. Once a car is eliminated, then the person who was eliminated is out of the game, but they will be drafted again next turn. The eliminations go until there are cars from only one team left. An example attack would be (in text form, the real attacks will be actual races):

Person 1, Person 2, Person 3, and Person 4 are on the blue team and attacking the red team. Person 5, Person 6, and Person 7 are on the red team. There are 4 troops in the attacking blue team's territory and 3 troops in the red team's territory.

Lap 1: Person 2 is eliminated.
Lap 2: Person 5 is eliminated.
Lap 3: Person 4 is eliminated.
Lap 4: Person 1 is eliminated.
Lap 5: Person 7 is eliminated.
The blue team wins the attack, and they can move into the red team's territory.

There are now two troops in the blue team's territory, and no troops in the red teams territory.

The Golden Rule for moving troops into a conquered territory and attacking is: One troop must ALWAYS stay behind to keep the territory claimed if the attacker loses and to not have an unclaimed territory.

Therefore, the blue team can move one troop into the territory. Person 2, 5, 4, 1, and 7 will be drafted back into the game the next turn of their respective teams. If two or more troops of the same person are involved, then if the person gets eliminated, all troops controlled by that player involved in the attack are lost. You may attack multiple times; if you conquer a territory, your attacking run isn't over, you can continue. If you conquer a territory, then you get a card. Only one card is awarded each turn.

Please note that OLR rules apply; please do not exploit the rules.

Fortify: This is when you can move your troops from one territory to another. The path you take to move troops around must be connecting adjacent territories that belong to you. You get one move per turn (Unless modified by an objective). You must specifically state who you are moving where.

3. If your team's last territory has been conquered, then your team is out for the entire game. All the players that were in the team that was out will be spread out evenly between the remaining teams.

4. All teams will discuss privately in a conversation what they are going to do, before posting their move to me on the thread.

5. Objectives: Objectives are the quests of the game to get bonuses that will benefit you in the game. Will be updated.

6. Cards: Cards are either 1 or 2 star cards that can be turned in for more troops. Will be updated.

7. At the start of the game, we will select territories taking turns. For example, Yellow takes Argentina, then Green takes Central America, and so on and so forth. We will then reinforce these territories without taking turns (they are not needed) with the troops we have remaining (we start with 25). This is also the time where everyone places their Capital in a territory. Controlled enemy capitals will give you bonus troops as well as other rewards!

Qualifier

Every player that will participate in this race must run these two qualifier races.

This is to even out the teams so that each team has a good variety of drivers ranging from all skill levels.

The Teams

There will be five teams: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Black. Yellow will always go first, followed by green, followed by blue, then red, and finally black. Blue gets one card to start out, and Red and Black start with two. Whenever you are attacking someone, you must use your team colors as your Car Paint.

We need about 30 to 50 players per team, so this will be a huge event! Teams will be posted after we have a good amount of players. After the game has started, players can still join the the teams as we always need more people! We also may not use all five teams due to a lack of players.

Well, I haven't decided the time to start this game yet, but try running the qualifier! It's good fun taking those two cars around very long tracks.
