GT7 cannot use garage cars in sport mode

Hello out there, in sport mode I am not allowed to use most of my garage cars, mostly group 2 and 3, I

have to rent the same cars that are in my garage. It also makes me buy tires on my cars that already have the required tire. Also it does not save my qualifying times for weekly races like my old gt sport game, any ideas? Thanks
