GT7 local save only…?

I started GT7 on a PS that wasnt my primary device as it had the wheel on it but when I finished, it appeared to save everything locally and not online - so I uploaded the save files. I then went to my primary device and had to downlaod the save data to play. I was expecting the online save and load as per GT Sport - Am I doing something wrong and can this be changed as I’d rather not have to downlaod and upload saves every time I play?

I deleted my local save in the hope to start the game fresh again and it automatically loaded the online saved version instead.

Interesting. Before I started my primary PS, I looked and there was no online data, so I downloaded it. Maybe I should have left it and seen if it downloaded anything.

Ah, so my save data wont appear when I look at the upload/download section but it will be saved and loaded automatically like GT Sport from the GT servers.

So there is no way to reset your own save. Well this sucks!
