Gt7 lowering cars pp with engine damage

Does anyone know if you can intentionally lower a cars bhp and pp by deliberately causing engine damage? Been running an engine swapped car with oil shown as bad for months and regularly giving it abuse like changing down to 1st gear while doing 190mph but engine still shows as good condition. Previous gt games let you lower pp slightly by letting oil go bad (used to be an oil warning light like a little red oil can) but gt7 doesn't seem to let you do the same. Bhp did go down as oil degraded but its now levelled off with no more power loss, but as bhp went down it wasnt lowering the cars pp.Am I wasting time trying to lower pp this way? all car settings are already at lowest pp I can achieve. I'd say no. In the very first days of the game you could buy cars that had engines in "normal" condition, my old Super Bee was one of those, and it had some power loss. The PP was what it was when I tuned it, and when I eventually had the engine rebuilt the power increased but the PP didn't so apparently it's calculated from the perfect condition potential instead of what it has with wear.
