Went with the 992 as I have no time to experiment with other cars. A handful and I'm good with this. I may revisit next week.Livery courtesy of @Imbissbrunto

I think someone forgot to put the snowplow on the front of this 911 GT3 R because it is a truck.

It varies wildly between absolutely refusing to turn and losing all grip and spinning. It is truly atrocious at this track, on these tires.

Probably one of my worst placings in a first session with a 1:52.949 because of the above mentioned issues with this turd. Not sure how others get it to behave, because it certainly wouldn't tonight for me!

Yeah, mixed feelings on this combo as expected.
To much downforce and a very weird tire physics, ......grip, understeer, snappy oversteer and the weight shifting for S1 is terrible.
And this car goes soooo bad on going to first gear on the tight corners.....
I think a lot of guys are going to like this one and will be very fast, but it ain't going to be me

I normally don't post my times on this thread but I'm happy that I'm able to do a 1:53 with something different other than the usual Gr.3 cars that rule the leaderboards.

Might go for a sub 1:53 if I can just get the right lines with the NSX GT500 '00.

Was able to get into the sub 1:53 but I'm locking it in with the 1:52.8 time I got and I'm satisfied with the time especially given the car I chose for this time trial.

Still haven't quite gelled with these gr.3 cars but glad I hooked up some kind of a lap, and also reinstated P1 in Australia 🙏.

Weak ABS exercised. Had a lap that was only 0.080 off P1 at split 2, but incrementally bottled it thereafter😆. I think my personal limit is a low 7xx, so I can't be too displeased with this result. I wore warehouse gloves for this lap too.

I am not feeing the same thing other than the usual 911 pendulum effect. I am actually surprised how much the car tucks it's nose in given we are on RH, I don't mind the car at all even though it doesn't sound like a 911 dammit. I am currently just within the gold time after 6 laps, optimal 6 tenths better so this should be a gold once I sort myself out.

Finally got to the Chinese winwang, what a horrible piece of kit, you've got no mechanical feel to the road so mid corner speed is a guessing game. 1.5 tenths inside the gold time after 10 laps so this was easy but man, the handling is a mess, it yaws all over the place. Joyless.

I tried the time trial with the following cars:

Genesis X GR3
BMW M6 GT3
911 RSR/GT3 R
296 GT3
Suzuki Vision GR3
BRZ GT300

and the closest i came to bronze was a 2:02:229. Just chasing for that 0.8 seconds is so tough. I wish they could have allowed suspension tuning atleast and given a bit more power. Seems like it will take more than what i ask for to achieve it.

I'm away so have been out of touch a bit, but @newmedia_dev was working on something with @crome in the loop. Not sure if they have made any progress.
I can get pretty much get all the data but it takes 2/3 hours and it creates multiple files that have to be combined.

Below is the data that I have (I have an internal mapping for carID and Manufacturer) and my dashboard to check the data is correct when I load the JSON and combine the files.

dg-edge web has now all data, its not possible to get it easy from them ?

Fairly enjoyable TT after all, more so than I expected. Spent more time on it than I thought I would, three different sessions and passed 1,000 kms... The championship track limits are really tough and pretty annoying yeah, but once you learn them it’s honestly okay and the alternative (going way wide off-track in multiple places) is worse. À propos track limits, slight violation on a .607 lap was painful to lose but oh well, just about a tenth in the end anyway. Giallo Modena on my F50.

Quite probably, I did this as a work around that played nicely with the front end of the GT site but I assume others are more comfortable doing it directly to the API and hitting it harder than I was Ok with. I’m a product designer not a coder to be honest.

It’s worth asking Digit if he will share the data but I’d assume they won’t want to do that.

Tried quite a few cars at Trial Mountain but the 911 is the fastest for me, the Jag is not half bad either but struggles in the last sector. Got the 911 down to a 53.3, which should be safe. NFI how someone goes 3 seconds faster than that though, dead set insane.
Pretty much all are strong to be fair the bop in Gr3 is good and has they balance of easy cars vs ones that can do pace fast.

Morning folks,

Man i struggle with this one..... I knew it right away when it popped up, this is going to be tough...
I have a lot of problems point during the whole lap..... then.... the 911 is so freaking wide.... very hard to judge on bumper cam.

So T1.....S'es thing..... plain scary, lift...brake and pray..... ridiculous in this car.

The right hander after the first tunnel.... what a difficult apex to hit.... I just don't know where it is exactly 🤣
But then comes the left rocky barrier.... I hit this more often then I want to 🤣

Then the banked left hander after the back straight... I brake at the yellow sign sometimes it's fine....sometimes it way to soon.... sometimes i overshoot it all the way..... weird corner where I mostly scrap the inside 🤣

Then the weightshifting shenanigans start, what a struggle that next righthander....keeping the car stable and not sliding AND not hitting the left barrier is hell 🤣

And when you survived all that.... the last chicane pops up....

Difficult combo for me!

I ran a descent lap for this catagory for me I guess, about 2 tenths of the table this session but not more than that... Frankly...I am glad i ran this one 🤣🤣

Beautiful car though

Yeah went flying with the Ferrari on the Ring back then, kind of sketchy but was fun, we also had Fuji in the WRX.
Would be nice if PD implemented some rain more often i am not particulair good at it, but makes it way more fun
I think you are confusing "fun" with "frustrating", easy to do as they both start with F, you know what else starts with F? F--- THAT!
Trial mountain has such a great flow.
I agree 100%, it really does, once in the groove it is just a great drive, even the last chicane once you are in the flow. I have chosen my lovely 458 for this. I LOVE THIS CAR!!! Did I say I LOVE my 458, yes, yes I did. 😍

Happy with this lap, trying for more and the TT quickly becomes a 'hit and miss' affair, aka restart button Central.
Weak ABS evoked.
Gr.3 is not something I enjoy, cars are too fast, so I'll see y'all in a week ✋️
After I get rolling, I am usually trying to wear out the reset button, usually after T1 or T2. This was especially true for YAS. I think I had more miles to T1 than I had actual laps. :irked::lol:

Congrats!!!
I wore warehouse gloves for this lap too.
You do not want to know I how read that initially. 🤣
Did you wear both, or did you channel Michael Jackson and only wear one?? Was 'Beat it' playing in the background? 🤣
Next are you gonna be in MC Hammer parachute pants? BTW, one shoe did not help me and I have no whorehouse gloves, err, I mean warehouse.

Annnnnnd as for my progress...
I forgot to screenshot YAS, but I did manage to grab a 2:01.887. I very happy with that as it was nothing short of a 'retry' festival in S1. Could have picked up a bit more, but frustration level out weighed the fun, so I moved on to Barcelona.
The U9 is a better experience than expected, not terrible to drive as the other 2 ton bricks on wheels. I have some more time to pick up there so will work on it later.
As for Trial Mountain.... YES! anytime I can throw my 458 around that track I am on it!! I have more time to gain there too.

How I feel when I am in the groove in my 458. 🥰
