Hello all,

I’m sure you all are diving into the Power Pack races as I am. I’m just wondering if anyone else finds the races too easy? I was quite excited for Sophy 3.0, but I’m finding the AI dull compared to the highest settings you can set in custom races. It doesn’t matter which ‘spicy pepper’ car I choose to race with, it seems like with zero practice I’m setting qualifying laps several seconds ahead of 2nd place.

Why does Sophy 3.0 within the Power Pack seem slower and less aggressive than the highest Sophy setting in a custom race?

:(

I can't say that the races are too easy.

As a driver in class D, most races with a difficulty rating of 1 chili are perfectly fine. Other races I can manage with 2 chillies, such as Daytona with the old race cars like the Porsche 917 and Ford GT or Group C. And then there are others that I can barely manage, if at all, on the easiest difficulty level, such as the American Muscle Car races at Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta, or the DTM races against the Alfa 155, which are a tough battle for me.

Kie25 struggled in some races with the 2 pepper car.

As a low-A/high-B driver myself, the 1 pepper car is too easy and the 2 pepper is too difficult in some races, and just the right spot in some others.

Which ones specifically are you finding too easy on 2 Chili rating? I know there's at least a couple that are quite straightforward.

Off the top of my head, I found the AE86s at Tsukuba, and the Nurburgring Touring very hard on the highest difficulty. (I'm only half way through the PP)

Ironically after folks wanted traditional racing vs the original GT7 chase-the-rabbit format...I've found the most fun way to play the power pack races is to sit in the pits through qualifying and start from the back. It will spice things up for you if you crave extra challenge.

The Abarth (I think that's the car) at Alsace is damned-difficult IMHO.
Yes!

Although it's gone from "impossible" to "alien" after they changed something in an update, if you haven't tried it after that. I tried but couldn't keep that pace, you really need to throw that Abarth at the perfect angle and speed every corner to keep up with Hizal and his Golf GTI.

Strong agree, it's too easy.

I know it's OK for some but even then, very inconsistent from race to race.

The last race I did was the American Muscle at Road Atlanta on 2 chilis. Qualified 2+ seconds ahead on my first lap, span in the race and still won by several seconds.

I hope they add Sophy 3 to custom races soon so we can set up tough events with all tracks and weather conditions. Or they update the Power Pack to make it harder.
