Like Famine, I'm doing a test about general (Canadian and American) knowledge. We'll see how the European GTPer will perform now! SAME RULES AS FAMINE'S QUIZ FROM NOW ON! (December 7, 6:34 PM GMT -5) I'll post up 10 "general knowledge" questions. Now, it's pretty much a given that if you Google it, or go to Wikipedia, you'll get 20/20 (each question is worth 2 points - 1 point for a close answer), but where's the fun in that?

1.Who is the Football player who is currently suspended for is general attitude?(NFL) Terrel Owens
2.What is the Winston cup ? The former name for Nextel cup
3.What is a "Poutine" ? Fries with gravy and curds
4.Gretzky is the head coach of what team ? The Phoenix Coyotes
5.What does "K" mean in Baseball ? A Strike Out
6.What is the smallest state of the USA ? Rhode Island
7.The ________ of Cleveland (American Football Team). Browns
8.Who is the hockey player that was the first overall pick of 2004 ? Alexander Ovechkin
9.In Champ car what is the common name of the button that will give you a HP boost for 60 seconds ? Push to Pass
10.Who is the shortest NBA player of all-time ? Tyrone "Mugsy" Bogues

When you're finished PM me your answer. (Don't forget that my PM box is smalller than a premium one, so excuse me if it is full)

Done. And i just realised i got the IRL one wrong.... :ouch:

2? wow better than expected, what one did i get correct?

gt_masta
Number 2 and number 3 was really far from the answer

 Number 3... What did I put for that again?

Oh i remember yeah i didnt know that one... Did I get #6 right then?

VIPFREAK
10? wow... maybe I should've actually tried on the others. :dopey:
Yes you should! But don't expect next weeks one to be as easy as these ones :sly: .
These one were from the top off my head, I might do some research for next week.

So, this is technically a North American Sports quiz (apart from #6, which I happen to know off the top of my head). Shouldn't it be in the Sports & Fitness forum?

:D

Do I get like 50 bonus points for starting the uprising?

:D
So you're saying poutine is a sport? :D But next week will have more diversified question... I hope.

I will like it when you get different questions, but I will try this week. How many points is each questions worth?

Finally, something Americanized!

I missed that. Ahhh, thank heavens for old (Canadian) flames... :D

American sports... well, hockey is Canadian, eh? Still, I like this one too... would've gone for more historic questions in the sports... like which team has lost more times in the Super Bowl... or something like that.

I DID say "North American". Besides, Canada is part of America - as are Mexico, Belize, Chile and Panama.

Pretty easy since I'm a big football and hockey fan. The only one I think I missed was number 9.

I follow NFL insofar as I can. I know the teams, I know the rules. I don't know all the niceties, like "Peter Ncjnsadado has had a 32 second suspension for an illegal face"

How on Earth did I only get 1 point for 3? I've shared it with a consenting adult!

But it's not that subtile, he is known for his general attitude and original Touchdowns celebrations.

GT_Fan2005 : number 2

Well, now you're giving away the answer to other people... :D

I couldn't even name two players. It doesn't help that they all swap round every 15 seconds. It's like stadium-centric Runaround.

G-g-g-g-g-g-go!

 damn... I should've said it then... that was so blatent I thought, it can't be.
