Is it even possible to complete any of the GTA games before GTA 3? I can't find 100% completion checklists anywhere and it seems like it'd be impossible to do, considering if you fail a mission it's gone forever and you only need a high score to progress...

I don't know, but I'd assume that finishing all the missions and getting an absurdly high-score would count as finishing the game. You'd probably get better answers from a site dedicated to GTA, but they probablly wouldn't know either, considering how many people didn't jump on the GTA train until III.

Also welcome to :gtpflag: 👍

That's the thing unfortunately, I've tried and nobody seems to want to respond :/ I'm a major completionist and I've beaten all of them just by completing missions/killing pedestrians/stealing cars etc. but if you fail ANYTHING in that game it's gone for good :( It's such a burden wanting to complete everything sometimes lol.... And thanks for the welcome :)

I'm pretty sure you can load your latest savegame and the missions come back. You have to save regulary though.

Been years since I last played any of them, but I'd say you have completed the games, when you finished all missions.

EDIT: Here's a German checklist for GTA 1: http://de.gta.wikia.com/wiki/100-Prozent-Checkliste_(1)

EDIT2: Here is a list for every GTA except V, Google translator though: http://translate.google.com/transla...de.gta.wikia.com/wiki/100-Prozent-Checklisten

EDIT3: Forgot about the chapters in GTA1 and that you can only save after you completed one.
GTA2 has the churches to save, it costs 50 grand to do so though.

Thanks for the lists! I just started trying to beat 1961 seeing as it's the shortest..... I swear, the timers in this game give you 0 wiggle room for ANY mistakes... This is going to be a hard playthrough. :grumpy:

Good luck with your 100% quest! I'd love to do the same, but I'd never have the time or patience to!

"This is a list of jobs available in Grand Theft Auto 2. None of them are required to complete the game; however, they can help provide the money needed by the player to complete the level. It should be noted that some missions have different names across platforms. The left side is the PC version, while the right side is the PS version of the names of missions."

From a GTA site, by this logic would it rule out the possibility of completing it 100%? I just find a major level of impossibility to completing the games 100% due to the missions being gone after failing... I think I'm just looking for a way to avoid having to spend weeks trying to beat one game due to the repetitiveness lol
