I've recently recieved a copy of GTA 3 from my uncle, who says it's a pretty good game. I've played mostly all of the other GTA's at some point (apart from DLC and PSP games). I believe there is 65 missions and have read that there is frequent loading times from moving into different parts of the city and the like. The disc is fairly clean (almost never played) so I'm not too worried about freezing like GTA:SA. Is there anything I need to watch out for (like SA, where using cheats gltiches the game) like extremely long loading times etc. I haven't played this one before and I'm hoping it's pretty good and worth my time.

GTA 3 have some fails, for being a old game (2001), but nothing that can ruin your gameplay. I don't fairly remember those frequent loading times on my friend GTA 3 that I borrowed (it wasn't clean). It's a nice game.

Well I'd like to give it a try but I don't want to run into the same issues I ran into with the rest of 'em (here's hoping I won't with the cleaner disc). Anything else I should know about like particularly hard missions etc?

You will enjoy mate :)
To have a even better experience, download RealGTA3 mod 👍
The loading times are normal, and between cities it just some seconds so not a problem.
BTW Claude (PC) doesn't talk...poor guy :p

Can't download the mod...I've got the PS2 version.

Does it crash with the use of cheats like SA?

I don't think so, I've played the PS2 version too, and you can have all the fun with people rioting with rocket launchers
It suffers from the age, but it's still a amazing game...and collecting hidden packages is actually cool and rewarding! Man I memorized almost all of them and remember even after all these years :D

I could care less about age, I've managed to play the entire Mario series from the '80s and had fun with that. If it's that great of a game, I may start it tonight.
