GTA III's 'magic'

Does anyone else here still play this amazing game? I love it, as it's one of my all-time favorites. After 12+ years, this game still has that special 'magic'. I love the atmosphere of Liberty City. Each time I play this game nowadays, I get so nostalgic. I just started a new playthrough a few days ago on the PS2 version of GTA III. There is a lot oof great details in this game. GTA III revolutionized the gaming industry as a whole. It was really great for it's time, in 2001, and still is.

One small detail I particularly like is the ambience around LC. The sounds when walking around is so detailed. It really makes you feel as if you're walking through the city in real life.
 
I know I used to play this game so much on the old PS2. I don't have it on PC right now, but I probably will soon. Gonna try and compete with the guy that speedrunned it in under 2 hours. :p
 
I've played through all the PS2 GTA games at least 20 times each, and probably will play them 20 more times before I die.
Rockstar really outdid themselves back when GTA3 was released with awesome storytelling and all those details they added to make a city come to life. They continue to set the standard of what open world games should be like.
I can't wait to see what they do with PS4
