GTA Reward Cars...

Okay, let me start with I'm taking 6,100 mgs of pain killers a day so it not come as any shock to anyone as to what I am about to say...

The day our Academy award car had been issued I had been at the doctors office getting a yearly or bi-anually injection into my spine in my neck and lower back...these injections cause my blood sugar to spike pretty high and in response I have to take diabetes medication for 2-4 months afterwards...anyone ever having experienced a spike in thier blood sugar as high as I have knows how bad things can get in a hurry...

Anyhow, that night I was going through my wifes and my accounts and backups for each saving my main account for last because I really wanted to paint this car...Well somehow I lost that Nissan GT-R Black Edition Tuned Car (GT Academy) '12 and now have no way of getting it back...But I'm not the only one, I've heard about people losing thier chrome collection cars with no option to get them back either...It's time for a patch...

If anyone has any kind of access, clout, pull or anything that could get PD to start putting these vehicles, once they have been rewarded or paid for, into the new car dealerships so if we do have a foul up like mine they can just go to the new car dealership and buy it back...Who knows, maybe when the sun starts to go down on GT5 maybe PD could implement these changes into everyone's new car dealership's as a final reward to everyone that has helped make the GT series keep on shining like it has for so long!

I know it would sure put a smile back on my face if I could get that car back in my inventory! More than just me would be smileing like those that had paid $100+ for a collectors edition and has lost a chrome car and would have the ability to retrieve them back again!

If someone could tell me how to delete a post I could delete the un-needed ones...

Chrome car.....hmmm, try to go to PSN Store and check your downloads history, find required car in the list and download again chrome cars wich are missing. I gess You might had used your own accaunt to redeem Signature Edition Codes, so must not be a problem of getting cars back.
Academy prize car...there is no way of return to your garage, borrow from a friend (who shared one) and enjoy.

You can get the car by purchasing the "Cap Pack 2". Granted, it's in stock from, without the GTA logos.

No one here (that we know off), has any contacts within PD. You're best chance is to write it in the feedback section on this site, as a few suggestions made there, have actually been implemented in the game. Even then, I very much doubt this would happen.

About the Chomeline cars. Unless your data gets corrupted, or you manually delete them, I don't see how anyone could lose them. Even then, I think they might have been able to download them again.

Like Olegonic said, you can re-download chromeline cars, and any other cars you paid for, in the PS store.

Academy cars cannot be retrieved, I guess its PDs way of making those cars rare and exclusive.

I believe they can be traded in ticket form sneakily as I saw my friend recieve one I think(If Gran turismo is considered a friend it may have been that)

Only for the people that earned them of course! The reason I ask is because between the Pain Meds I take, 6,100 mgs a day, and the Steroid Injection I get every 1-2 years, which just happened to be the same day the last GTA car came out, caused me to loose my Nissan GT-R Black Edition Tuned Car (GT Academy) '12...
As it stands now, I have no way of retrieving said car, however if PD had the foresight to treat it like DLC and had put in the new car dealership I would not be asking, I could have just gotten it from the dealership...I worked hard to get the car and it is +9 PP over a standerd dealer model completely built!
Even if I had the car I know it will eventually wear out, what about that PD, we all will eventually be out of this car, how will we get a new one? Restore cards will probably be gone by then...
Please PD, hear my plea, put all of the reward cars in the Nissan Dealer for those that have earned them so we can keep the presstige going long from now! Oh yeah, and help bail out poor old saps like me!

You don't have to be online on that day to receive the cars actually which I've found out coincidentally, my old PS3 got the YLOD recently and I decided to replace it and reinstall my GT5 gamesave on the new one.
This all happened during the GT-Academy cars being given and so far I'd already received the first 3, once I'd got online there were 2 new GTA cars sitting in my inbox.

Edit, you mean you lost one already given?

Your probably right analog, but it sure would be nice to be able to retrieve them if you screwed up like I did, wouldn't it?
How about replacing them when they wear out? It would be nice to be able to replace an old tired out car wouldn't it?

Yes sir, sure did, between the pain meds and my blood sugar spiking from the steroid injection I had gotten that same day< I somehow blew it and deleted it somehow!?

Yes sir, between the pain meds and my blood sugar spiking from a steroid injection I had gotten earlier in the day, I screwed up somehow and wound up deleting it! Would be nice if I could rewind the day but reality has a tight grip!

Yep, it would be nice in your situation (not sure what actually happened though as it isn't clear from your story).

I'm disabled from my disks in my neck and lower back degenerating, COPD, arthritis in evey joint in my body!

I get a steroid injection directly into my spine once every or every other year, depending on how much I stressed out my neck and back to alieviate most of the major pain and every day I take 6,100 mgs of pain killers a day for the rest of the aches and pains.

My Doctor is amazed at how I can still function with as bad as I'm screwed up! When I first saw him I had about a 4 1/2 inch thick medical file from spine specialist's, arthritis specialist's and other doctors as well, and X-rays and MRI's of my entire body, some piece by piece and some whole body...I have also had closed brain injuries, concussions, so my Doctor orderd an EEG test that have revealed loss of some brain function and that was the real kicker for him when got those results back!!! Guess I've been pretty lucky so far and just plain blessed!

I hope this clears up how I screwed up!

If you are talking about this years Academy cars, they can't be traded, not even in ticket form.

Yeah, they all come saying "A gift from a friend". But the friend is PD. It just says that in your daily log.

Call me an Optimist and I don't like the word No! Can't help myself!

The reason I ask this question is because I have somehow lost/deleted my brand spanking new Nissan GT-R Black Edition Tuned Car (GT Academy) '12 that was just released last Wednesday night...The way things stand now there is no way to recoup my loss as there are no backups built into the game, either in the new car dealership nor anywhere else for that manner! Fair warning out there to the rest of you, once your car is gone, it's gone! Whether you delete it or wear it out that's it, no more to start over again...

But it doesn't have to be that way if PD were to make a DLC pack containing the GTA reward cars, at least for those of us that have earned them...I have another poll out asking if they should make it available only to the people that have earned them or a general release to everybody to eventually be available everyone, say, like when they stop supporting GT5! Yes, eventually GT5 will become another legend of the past and wouldn't it be nice to experience every car firsthand!? So far the results have been split pretty evenly down the middle...But it's only just getting started...

I've included another poll with this question and I hope you'll all take the time to answer the poll...It may turn out to be something PD may do in the future if enough voices are heard...!?

I keep checking in on GT.NET to see what level they are, but they are still marked as '?' in the Level Field...

I don't know about the chrome cars, I've only remarked on them because I'd read responses in my PSN forum post that people have lost them and I thought that if that was also at issue I'd address it as well...

I voted option 2 but they should just be available to everyone because I missed academy and I don't want to even hear that these cars were difficult to earn.

I stupidly thought that car restore removed the reduce weight and tune engine upgrades, but no, so I mildly wish there was someway for me to get a clean GTA car again.

P.S. If you somehow lose your Chromeline cars due to data corruption, just start a new PSN account and start the game fresh and they are there again.

I lost last years academy skyline because of corrupted data. I had a backup but without only that car
