GTA:SA w/ Gameshark V2 not working

Well, I have searched all around the forum and I can't find anything on the subject. I just spent about 30 minutes putting in GameShark codes for San Andreas. The problem that i'm having, is when I go to start up the game with codes, the screen stays black. The game doesn't load or anything. I tried taking the game out after a few minutes of waiting with the black screen.

I am a very calm person, but even this has gotten me a little ticked off. Is it possible that San Andreas just doesn't work with V2 GS? I have tried just 1 code and still loading it, and I still get nothing. Any comments will help, maybe my gameshark is messed up, maybe there's a compatibility issue, I just have to know.

I don't think there are too many people on this Forum that are good with Gamesharks and the like. Your best bet is to ask around in the PS2 Forum, although leave this here just in case. 👍
 
The codes that you are using are probably v3 or v4. You need to convert them to v2 using the converter here. You need to convert to Action Replay 2, which is the same as Gameshark 2v2.

Small and very good group, we have the best SA and VC record book i have seen on the net.

As for your gameshark troubles, ask famine as well as he uses gamesharks a lot for GT3 so he might be able to help. But if you can stand gtaforums ask there though many people just talk rubbish and there are lots of noobs.

What excatly does the codes do?
 
If you are sure you put the right version of codes in . I suggest you check your master code it sounds like its wrong by what you posted.
 
ledhed. I have put in about 5 different sets of master codes so far. They were all 100% correct, I don't make that kind of error. :dopey:

gnomefromnome, thanks a lot, that actually worked. The only bad part is, the codes work for the first minute, then after that they stop working automaticly. But at least they worked in the first place, i'm not completely crazy.
