So, the good news (no bad news):

$150 Collector's Edition includes money bag, snapback hat, blueprint map, artwork, and various in-game items and bonuses; all preorders receive access to pilot atomic blimp vehicle.
Rockstar Games today announced premium bundles for this September's upcoming open-world game Grand Theft Auto V.


The $80 GTAV Special Edition includes a copy of the game, a collectible steelbook with never-before-seen artwork of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, as well as a 21.5-by-26.75-inch blueprint map that shows off Los Santos and Blaine County.

The bundle also packs in various in-game perks, including a special ability boost for Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. With the boost, players' special ability bar will generate 25 percent faster.

The GTAV Special Edition also includes single-player Stunt Plane Trials and bonus outfits, tattoos, and "special deals" from shopkeepers inside the gameworld. Lastly, the premium bundle offers gamers additional weapons, including the pistol .50, the bullpup shotgun, and the melee hammer.

A $150 GTAV Collector's Edition will also be available. It includes everything from the Special Edition, as well as a special GTAV-themed 10.75-by-8.5-inch security deposit bag with a logo key.

The bundle also includes a "Los Santos"-branded GTAV hat made by New Era and classic GTA characters for use within the game's multiplayer component. Players who buy the Collector's Edition will also receive an in-game garage to store custom vehicles.

In single-player, these cars include the 1930s-style Hotknife hotrod and the CarbonRS sports bike. In multiplayer, players will get to zip around in the Khamelion electronic car.

Lastly, Rockstar announced today that anyone who preorders GTAV--any version of the game--will be able to pilot the atomic blimp in-game vehicle. Preorders for all premium bundles went live today and will be available while supplies last.

Glad to see that the blimp will be flyable. I'll have to go pre-order it soon. I'll probably just get the standard version of the game though.

Same bro. I haven't got the money at the moment for the collector's edition. Hopefully this stuff becomes available in the XBOX Marketplace/PS Store in the future after release.
 
It seems the collectors edition isn't available in Australia... but the special edition is so I will have to go with that. Will pre order in the next few days.
 
I wish the colllectors edition is cheaper so i could buy it and I wish I could get the special edition but I know it is a waste of my $20....:'(
 
I'd like the collectors edition but I can't justify spending the extra money for it, as all I'm interested in is the extra content. I will never use the bag, key, and hat... ever.

Then wait until the DLC is available on PSN. ;)
 
What happens they say that the dlc is exclusive o r something that you can't get the dlc. :'( I wanted to play as CJ again in multiplayer
 
I might be getting the special edition, if it'll be available here. The collectors edition is, but the price here ($278 USD) really makes it not worth it :p.

I hope you're right. I have a feeling they might not though. Much like how the bonus collectors edition stealth and chrome cars in GT5 were never available as DLC. Although I love that exclusivity, I hope rockstar do it differently.
 
With RDR I think the war horse was exclusive to pre-ordered versions and I think with L.A. Noire there was a crime case "The Naked City" IIRC and other things for pre-ordered versions aswell but all of this stuff was eventually available in the store at a price. I can't see why all of the exclusive GTA V things wouldn't be available in the store eventually, Rockstar have the choice of making money from selling collector's stuff as DLC or not so it seems to be a no-brainer to me.
 
I just really hope that they will put the dlc for sale so I could be CJ cause I am not going to buy worthless stuff that I won't even use such as the wallet or the other map of Los Santos. I just want to use the san andreas main character and the other characters in the GTA franchise.

That would be a huge slap in the face of the people who bought the Collector's Edition for that content, though.

I don't doubt they will release the DLC, but I give it 3 months minimum after release to give the CE owners time to "enjoy" their goodies Rockstar has given them for spending that much money for their game.

True. I should upgrade to the Collectors Edition (If possible) or go for Special Edition as soon as the money is available for it.
 
I did just get my "regular" pre-order of GTA V upgraded to the Collector's Edition PS3.

Cannot wait for this awesomeness! :p
 
I want to start the game without any houses or cars or any help. None of the other stuff interests me. So I am getting the regular edition. My brother is getting the collector edition.
 
I just checked the price of the CE, and I say: I could buy the new PS3 for less money than that!
