I was wondering if anyone felt that GTA V seems easier to play through compared to GTA IV. I love the series, don't get me wrong, but it seems like I've been flying through the game. I'm at 70% complete without much time, effort and no cheats. It's probably the replay factor when failing a mission that makes it seem easier, I don't know.

At any rate, I predict it'll take a while to get 100%. I doubt I can find the spaceship and other collectibles very easily.

I totally agree. But half the story missions explains alot.

I personally am dissapointed how a $60 game has turned into a "free" cell phone game.

I think its easier but certainly more fun. I enjoy the extra cars but I miss the stallion (the original smaller one not the GTA IV barge) and there is a lot more to do outside of the missions. There will likely be a BIG DLC at some point (hoping for a new area).

@ryzno what do you mean by free cell phone game ?

It controls much better on foot, especially with shooting weapons. I've found that makes things much easier in general.

Believe it is the iFruit app that you can download for free to add a touch of class to the game itself.

I see. I hate the app so much, waited for the android version and the stoopid chop games are infuriating.

I too have found it much easier (and possibly shorter) than other GTAs. Online is where most of my time is going though.

I also felt that this GTA was lacking in some areas (not as many things to do, no unlocks for taxi, firetruck, medic and police missions, tracklist less inspiring etc) and a bitt OTT in other areas (sex, nudity, violence etc).

Previous GTAs led you to believe that the sex and violence was there but, never actually showed alot of it. This GTA seems to be going for shock value and has everything shoved in your face.

Online is a pretty addictive and has me hooked, it could be better than 1 player IMO.

It's easier, but I find V a lot more interesting than IV too. V is the first GTA I've completed (excluding Strangers & Freaks and collectibles) simply because the story kept me wanting more, and you were essentially following three storylines at once. IV was pretty much just Niko getting people out of whatever trouble they were in and got tedious fast. I'm really hoping Rockstar makes some DLC like TLaD or TBoGT for V.

Completing missions in every GTA before this one was so tedious I had no qualms with cheating, primarily just to unlock the rest of the map. I haven't been inclined to enter a code yet, though I haven't touched singleplayer since October 1st. I guess it's easier, but it's also better.

Have you been playing on "free-aim" ? I find that it makes for more challenging gunfights, in story mode that is. Would love to use it all the time online, but "Assisted-aiming" is where the crowd's at sadly.

I've played through 58%-ish of the game so far and I didn't really find it too easy nor too tough. Some random events did take me by surprise, though I think the real challenge lies in obtaining a "Gold" in all missions. On the other hand, I didn't find GTA IV all that hard either and never resorted to using cheats even a single time while on it.
Also, finding all the collectibles on your own should provide a fair bit of challenge.

The cops seem to be definitely tougher that GTA IV. It's insane when they start playing 8-ball with your car isn't it?

IT definitely is more fun that GTA IV, in many many aspects, a great game overall.

@ryzno what do you mean by free cell phone game ?

Exactly what I said. I do not mean the app and I believe they still have not released a Droid version of the app(iFruit) more BS (convinient they release the game near the iPhones release and they still havent released a droid version.)

What I mean is you download a "free" phone game play for 15 minutes and you have to buy more credits, gems or whatever to continue playing.
I payed $60 to play a game, not have some rich kid blow me away, cause they can spend $500 on a damn game.
Or buy DLC crap. When you bought DLC back in the day you bought another game.
Iam dissapointed of what the Video Game industry has become. I remember the good times. No updates no bla bla bla a complete game on the day of release.
We pay 5 times more then we ever payed and the games are beet in a week or less I mean its sad really.

And from what PD is talking about I have a feeling GT6 is going down the same dissapointing road.

And another thing I REALLY hate is how you lose stats and money for not playing online. I mean seriously people have more important things to do besides play games 7 days a week. Its getting old starting from near scratch.

Did I mention I beet the Game in less then a week working 2 jobs?

Yes, it is.

But as you said about the Gold/Silver/Bronze missions, replaying to get Gold adds a certain level of difficulty that is on par with GTA IV because some of the missions offline are just nuts to get Gold on.

Iv done even my personal plates to my cars with that.
Or did I miss something?

I agree, the inappropriate content was too much. You don't need to depict sex in a story in order to drive it forward.
