Just to let everyone know, I have added the intro and ending clips from GTConcept to GTPlanet's video section! Start downloading them now - they're pretty good if I do say so myself! :) Many thanks to Lang for sending them to me!

the GT3 intro clip rocked. time to check this baby out. and when is GT concept coming to usa!
 
Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool myself. Nobody knows when it's coming out here, though, nothing has been announced yet. :(
 
i got that GT Concept intro, and it is amazing! how do they even go about creating a video like that. i have no concept (heh, no pun intended) of what they use to make a video like that or how long it takes.
 
Well, they use a 3D Modeling program, in this case, Maya, and create everything you see there, and make all the viewpoints and movements, and then render it. Thats basicly how they do it.
 
does someone have to physically draw the models of the cars?

Not exactly, No.

They just make little lines in the program (like paint, exept more 3D and more everything else), connect them, and that creates a polygon, and figure around 5000 of them, if not more. make that GT-R you see in the intro.

ok, that makes a lot more sense. i always here people describe the quality of graphics in # of polygons used. i think i catch your drift.
 
do you think when it is will be on the PSM magazine cause i subscribe to it if so i'll post when when i get my next issue. (start of July i'll get the magazine)

How is that possible? The graphics on the clips look better than real life!

I was wondering if i coud post up the intro to GT Concept the geneva version with SL500, because i feel that it is better than the japan one.
 
when you finally get gtconcept in the usa u wont b dissapointed!!!

the only trouble i had with it was that it was too short (i realise its only a budget priced game as new but still felt short)

the pod race is funny too also if nobody knows in the usa in our uk version after u have unlocked so much i think 50% u get a prize of 10 million credits to upload to your gt3 game data!!!

that money was essential and a brilliant idea by the game makers if u ask me!!
