The SCOL (Saturday Cup Online League) has just finished its 5th season with Josh_F_1998 storming to victory in 4 of the 7 races bringing Josh his 2nd SCOL season championship crown. HortusIX came in a close 2nd with robgroove taking 3rd place in the overall standings.
Season 5 did present a few problems with the league though. A miss-understanding of the rules created a few problems leading to a few members leaving the league, so robgroove and HortusIX have spent much of season 5 re-writing the rule list aswell as constructing a brand new forum which will be the new home of SCOL.
SCOL’s era has ended, GTJunkies (GTJ) takes its place.
GTJunkies.com has been created which rocks a news page to keep you updated with all things GTJ league and GT5, Live twitter feed to keep you up to date with practice sessions, official and none official race events, The new improved GTJ race rules page and a sign up walk through to help direct new members in the right direction.
The Forum link on the site will take you to the GTJunkies area which is a part of the PSJunkies.com forum. The idea here is to create a larger forum for all things playstation with GTJ being just a small part of the larger community. If you run your own league you are welcome to bring it to the PSJ forums. We have created a forum for GTJ that makes it quick and easy to keep all aspects of the league up to date. One problem I see happening with other leagues is it takes so long to update the leaderboards and info pages that there comes a time when the person in charge needs a break. With the GTJ forums hosted at PSJ, multiple people (race officials) can update the info meaning it doesn’t all fall on one persons shoulders. If you’d like to know more about bringing your league, group, club or even clan to the PSJ forum please contact robgroove.
Built into the GTJ league sign up process is a test to make sure each and every user knows how to navigate their way around the rule list which we believe will mean only the real GT5 drivers will make it into the league. When I say “real GT5 drivers” I mean the ones who are here to take part in a well run league and not just fancy a race one night. Gran Turismo 5 does have its flaws but it’s still an amazing game and you need to be in a league to get the most out of it.
We at GTJunkies are looking for clean drivers who are looking for some online racing every Saturday night. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are aslong as you can beat the 107% rule on our track test circuit (which should be obtainable by almost everyone) If this sounds like your cup of tea then sign up and come join us.
There are many custom tools we have created within the forum we would be happy to share with other leagues willing to join our forum in the hope it will lead to league vs league races and even maybe even a championship of leagues. There’s plenty of room for everyone aslong as you’re dedicated to your league

.
Once again I would like to congratulate Josh_F_1998 on another amazing championship win and look forward to beating him in GTJunkies Season 6.
