I got the e-mail about the GTLive drawing, and was surprised to find out that you had to be a Premium member to enter. In every other sweepstakes I've seen, ever, there is a "no purchase necessary" rule that tells you how to enter without being required to put down any money, because otherwise it's gambling.

So what's the deal?

You aren't paying for a chance to win - being a Premium user is just a requirement for eligibility.

What is it for? I haven't gotten the email? It's most likely for members that have been here for a long time, like me, but my username is newish.

I'm sure Jordan knows it. But he would get alot more premium members, including myself, if credit card was an option.

You can pay with Credit Card through PayPal.

But again, I've never before seen a sweepstakes of this type that required a purchase. Even the McDonalds Monopoly games & such things have "no purhcase necessary" clauses that let you get game pieces by mailing in a request. I wouldn't want Jordan to fall into any legal trouble because of this...

Because I just don't. I like doing it that way(credit cards). But anyway off-topic.

Legal trouble?

What possible Legal Trouble? Jordan's not asking people to become Premium Members, and it's not an obligation to pay, rather it's a reward for the people who are Premium Members. Reward is different than gambling.

It is also not gambling. You are not paying the ticket company in order for a chance to win the tickets. You are paying GTP, which is completely unrelated to the ticket company.

You are over-reacting.
