To help strenghten the league and create more staying power for some of the memeber who have not had a great start to the season, we at GTN have talked it over and came up with the following changes.
These changes will go into effect imediately, and WILL affect this weeks race at Fugi.
1. We are doing away with qualifing and the starting order of all races from this point forward will be decided by inverting the points. The first in points that week will start last and the last in points shall start first etc. (all points given out for gaining the pole position shall be removed).
2. Races will be shortened by roughly one third of what was originally scheduled. The following is a list of the new lap amounts for the remaining races.
RACE-----Laps Before-----Laps Now
Fugi------------100-------------70
Nurburgring V--20-------------15--Nordschleife (12.95 miles)
Daytona--------200------------150
Grand Valley---100-------------70
Tsukuba--------150------------100
Autumn Ring--100-------------70
Laguna Seca----75-------------50
Indy------------200------------150
Suzuka----------75-------------50
3. Happy hour is mandatory!!! Any driver that has not shown up by 7:30 eastern will start in the back of the field behind the points leader.
4. A higher priority is going to be placed on getting the race started at 8pm. If you are late you will miss the race.
5. Any damage caused by carelessness during pace lap to start the race, will result in the instigator having to start at the back of the field. Anyone hit by someone else will be able to get their car fixed and return to the same position.
6. Anyone who finishes the race will be awarded a $100,000 car of their choice. Anyone who finishes in the top 5 will get a NASCAR of their choice. Don't be a quiter, it hurts the league and makes you look bad. Stick it out, there will be better days and you never know what will happen to the ones in front of you.
