- GT5-CHECKMATE
GTN's first season has been a great success. With two races remaining there are still several positions to be had. We have had 9 or more drivers in every race of the year with most having 10-14. The racing has been intense, exciting, and very clean. We have a great group of core drivers and are looking to add more.
The 2nd season is starting April 17, 2011,and is going to consist of 11 races with each driver counting his top 10 finishes (this way you can miss one race without it costing you the season). We are using no boost, heavy damage, and any assist you want. The pts system we are using will be close to the real NASCAR system with a possible bonus added for how many drivers enter each race.
Qualifying will be held at 8pm eastern Thursday night and the race will be Sunday night at 8pm. Races are usually about 3/4 the length of real races and usually last about 1.5-2.0 hrs. If you can't make qualifying you will start in the back of the field behind all that did qualify according to pts. Anyone interested can send me a email at GT5CHECKMATE@yahoo.com
If some would like you can get in one of the last two races to see if you like our racing style and for us to see if we like you. No one under the age of 16 please!! And no one who doesn't have at least a little NASCAR experience. We only want good clean drivers, who understand a 2 hr race can't be won in the first turn.

The reason some do not have lap totals is because they are new tracks that we did not race last season and we have yet to research to find the right lap count. We will have that completed before the start of the season.
