Time for a series featuring short tracks, multiple race heats, low grip tires and just enough horsepower to make things interesting. This series will feature two lightweight rear wheel drive sports cars. Pick your steed: Either the iconic S2000 or one of the triplets - Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86 GT, Scion FRS. Tuning will be kept to a minimum to focus on driving ability.

Race Format: (2) 20 minute races
-10 minute qualifier for race 1
-Reverse finish starting order for race 2

Event 2 – Red Bull Ring Short Track 3/25
Event 3 – Cote D’Azur 4/1
Event 4 – Apricot Hill 4/8
Event 5 – Nurburgring GP/D 4/15
Event 6 – Laguna Seca 4/22

Points awarded for each night will be determined by final position in both races

1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point

In the case of a dead heat for a championship place then the driver with the higher number of superior race results will be awarded the place.

Penalties – off
False Start Penalty – on

Disconnects during a race will be treated as a mechanical failure.
DNF’s will be awarded the last running order points. (10 in a race, you get 10th place points)
If more than one disconnect occurs, points will be given in the order of disconnect.

Events will be held weekly at 9:00 PM EST. Room open at 9, Qualifying at 9:20, Race #1 start at 9:30

I hadn't given it thought before, but this event format could lend itself to a lot of ties each night, as one can see above. To fix this, going forward, unless someone disagrees with it, all race total ties will be determined by qualifying position. I won't apply this to Event #1 because it could possibly be viewed as unfair...unless you all agree to it. Applying that rule to last night gives us this:

Personally I like second race higher position gets the spot, that is just me though, and won't lose too much sleep with whatever option you decide. Going to be looking to spin some laps, that Red Bull course is another that I don't have too many laps at.
 
Alright I'll take that into consideration.

Agreed on the track. Think I've done a total of 30-40 laps lifetime at this track. The first turn and second to last turn seem to be the most important to get right!

Both races tonight will be 20 laps each (Lap times are roughly 59 seconds long).
 
ANNOUNCEMENT

Going forward from this date onward, the last place finisher of the previous event may, if he so chooses, substitute driving his S2000/BRZ and instead drive a 100% stock 1991 Mazda efini RX-7 Type R in the color Competition Yellow Mica.

I know I haven't posted last night's results yet, however the last place finisher from last night was peyepete. So if you'd like pete, embrace the power of the rotary for one week:bowdown:

Great fun last night! Sorry I didn't see this comment beforehand, but Two tires over the curb was the expectation...and I think everyone honored that.
 
What a great series this is becoming, I love the stock suspension with power adds, makes for great racing. Add that everyone in this series is very clean and respectful, and it is wheel to wheel every week, from start to finish. Excited for next week.
