Please pay close attention rules #2 and #6. If you have any questions about those 2 rules feel free to ask.
Qualifying Order:

P1C - Derek Ferrell
Nissan-Calsonic Racing
Nissan R92CP #1
T1:0:29:298 T2:1:02:736 T3:1:26:435 T4:1:48:316 T5:2:16:883 T6:2:45:937
Lap Time:3:15:429

Qualifying Rules

1: You must run your qualifying laps in the following area: GT MODE - World Circuits - Circuit de la Sarthe I

2: Tire compound used for qualifying is R1/R1. Softer tires are NOT allowed.

3: Any breach of OLR rules (Section A) in a qualifying lap makes the lap obsolete. You must run a clean, OLR rules approving lap in order to submit the time.

4: Record all of our split times including your total time.

5: The front row (positions 1&2) will have no time added to their total time. 1 second will be added to the second row, 2 seconds to the third row and so on.

6: Every driver must use the same car they selected to drive in the race for qualifying. This means you must use the identical car for qualifying and the race. You may not purchase 2 cars and use 1 for the race and another for qualifying.

7: A qualifying time submission should look like this:

Driver:
Team:
Car & #:
Qualifying splits:
Total lap time:

(Note that you must signup before your qualifying time is added to the leaderboard)

8: Every driver entering after the qualifying period ends will recieve a random spot in the back of the grid.

9: Qualifying begins May 24 and ends May 31st, 2006

are we allowed to submit more than one time? or is it only one submition.

As many times as you want. Remember, though, that the car you qualify with is the car you are to race with. So if you just got a chassis refresh you may not want to put that much mileage on it in qualifying and save what you can for the race.

I've begun my qualifying sessions with the Nissan. Some good times, but I'm not quite happy with them. I'll likely have at least one submission by tomorrow.

Lap Time:3:15:429

I should have a lap in by the end of today (Sunday)

It will be interesting to see how the LMP cars stack up against the Group C cars :)

How do you figure? Qualifying closes on the 31st...

I know I can go faster, but I dont know if I'll get much of a chance to do it. So heres my fastest qualifying time so far...

Haha I thought it ended on the 28th. Oh well. :indiff:

I've got a new time....inexplicably...I'm just about on par with superfast on just about every section of the circuit, except somehow I manage to lose 3.2 seconds inbetween the two mulsanne chicanes...any tips on how to improve would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Considering I've been out of state since May 23rd and only returned May 30th with no real time to do anything by the due date of May 31st (which I clearly warned you guys about yet the dates appear to have been changed), there is obviously no way I will be able to participate in this.

My "driving thumb" is also a bit shot as of late, and the opposition seen here (as well as the opposition that has all but killed off this event at the GTX), we asll we my involvement as manager for Team GTX in the Board Challenge 6 have required me to simply say forget it, as I do not have the time or power to participate in this race, let alone do any administration for it.

The lack of involvement from GTX will therefore mean that this race will be left completely under the control of Earth, Dark Elite, and Mulsanne here on GTPlanet.

So does that mean we're not gonna bother on this end too? Is the race still on?

Gave it two flying laps and called it quits. Just to be clear, it's 11:00pm PST on May 31st as I post this. Bring on the race!

BTW, is Dark Elite going to be running this?

The 5-Speed on the Nissan makes the gearing really great for the chicanes. Wait until the last possible second to brake, and just throw it in there.:)

The359:

I'm sorry to hear that. Since you are the defending Le Mans winner, I was really looking forward to competing against you. I want to thank you for the time and effort you put into helping to prepare this event. I wish you all the best. 👍 👍

You know, my faith in this OLR is starting to get shaken. None of the race admins made a qualification attempt. One of the race admins has not even made an entry. Post activity has been slow. What's up?

Keep the faith, friend. Unfortunately, real-life issues (work, etc.) have gotten in the way and kept me from doing a qualifying time before the deadline. But the little bit of practice I was able to do last night, I was right on the LMP1 pace. I will be there for the race (I plan to do my race next Sat. and Sun., 4 P.M. to 4 P.M.) and am really looking forward to it. The Le Mans Test Day coming up this weekend has really got me in the Le Mans mood. :)

Keep the faith.

Keep the faith

First, thank you for your time the359 in helping us set this up etc. Without alot of your rules and input I don't think the race would have a chance. Thank you.

Sorry for not posting a Q time everyone. I actually did spend time running Q laps and I was terribly slow, 3:23-25 range. But I'm quite confident in my race pace.

Yes, me and Mulsanne and are still here and we are going to do this. Dark Elite and the359 won't be driving with us here at GTP but Mulsanne and I should be more then enough to get this done.

Again, sorry for dissapearing for a while. I simply lost track of time and was busy with other things. I'll update the Q board soon and will get a race thread up around June 10

Keep the faith

Isn't there a few more people in this race...like a few Audis or something?? What happened to those guys??
Cheers
Oh and thanks for the tips superfast...I'll give it a go as soon as GT4 decides to start working again.

Glad to help, Danisfast.

Earth, if I switched into LMP, would I be able to keep the Nissan, or would I have to find another car?

 I'm still here also. Have been busy myself. I have the other nissan, so he's not really running alone. Will be running this race during the week. See you in "France"

superfast you will have to drive a LMP car to run in the LMP class

And Driven USA I've decided to not worry about posting the full starting grid until I get the times from everyone whos going to run this.

So yeah, I'm still here. I've already run my race etc etc. Just waiting for more time submissions.

I'm still in it. I had intended to do the race last weekend, but some relatives that I haven't seen in a few years visited, so I spent the weekend with them. (That and watching the World Cup.)

I'll spend this weekend glued to the TV watching Le Mans, hoping for a Corvette win in GT1 and a Flying Lizards win in GT2, but the weekend after that looks open. :)

I'm still trying to get my Audi to be fast but easy on tyres. :irked:

its quite a long time when I lastly was here but its great to see Le Mans running up here. I am in other German Le Mans and there was quite a lot of us,the players and we were even on teams.

I would have maybe been on this race but I see I am late and to rules and do you need to be part of something I dont have no idea. Anyway good luck for all the competitors :)
