Information:
The Shinkansen (新幹線, new trunk line) is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan operated by five Japan Railways Group companies. The Bullet trains are up to seventeen cars long. With each car measuring 25 m (82 ft) in length, the longest trains are 400 m (1/4 mile) end to end. Stations are similarly long to accommodate these trains. They run at 200mph, but the fastest bullet train achieved a top speed of 375 mph. The purpose of these trains are to take people from city to city as fast as possible.

One of the only forms of public transport that I'd enjoy riding. Plus, the concept of a train that transports people at amazingly high speeds from city to city is simply awesome.

In Japan, you get on trains to get to places.... but these were always a treat to get on. With much homerism, SZ.

Amazingly fast and ruthlessly efficient they may be, but its still public transport and that is seriously uncool.

Always wanted to ride on one of these. Something really special about blasting around Mt Fuji in a 200mph train. Sub-zero.

As soon as I saw the title I knew who nominated it before reading it or the nomination thread, lol.

Anyway, I think they're cool. Wish we had something like this here.
