Engine: Photosynthesis?
Horsepower: Irrelevant
Torque: Not a lot
Security System: Spines

Voted cool for the Saguaro. They're magnificent and very alien-looking on their own, and symbolic of the American Southwest.

The only other cool cacti I can think of are the species capable of growing fruit like Pitaya.

It's a plant that just smugly sits there with the knowledge that no other living creature can touch it.

Sub-Zero...even though it's in a hot desert.

Except for the birds that nest in the holes they carve out. And the various animals that eat them (Including us occasionally).

I grabbed one when I was a little kid, cause I thought they only hurt in cartoons.

I was wrong.

But still a cool plant.

Eh. Maybe it could serve as an acupuncture tool sometime soon. But generally a boring plant.

Uncool.

When the family traveled through the Sonora Desert, I always tried to count every cacti I saw

Kept me entertained and in a happy mood, even though I always lost the count in the 200's

Cool

Keep in mind that it's a plant. Plants are usually boring, but a cactus is actually interesting, and thus, cool.

I live near them. Big Meh for me. Will become seriously uncool if I ever get pushed into one.

Uncool because spiky, tequila and irritatingly painful for cartoon baddies.

It's green and spiky and comes from somewhere hot. That's all I need to know. :p

Awfully prickly.

And, undoubtedly, you won't be cool, when you see one.
