GTP Awards® 2009!!!

Woops, nearly forgot about it this year!

You all know the drill by now. In this thread I'd like your suggestions for the categories (although they didn't change last year as I think we have them pretty much right). If you think a category should be dropped or another added, please let me know and i'll consider it. ;)

Then, I'd like some banners! I suck at paint/photoshop and we need a banner for the awards. Make me a 'GTP Awards® 2009' banner and my favourite will be picked an placed for all to see!

As it's already late in the month, let's try to get this bit done quickly so we can all get voting. :)

Aye. That could mean either the person who made the premium section the most worthwhile this year, or the person who paid for/gave away the post premium memberships.

I think the latter is you anyway.
 
I dunno, I haven't done it in a while now. Most generous member might be worth a shout.

It's difficult to quantify what makes the member most generous though, some of us can't afford to give away premium for no reason, which was certainly how I got mine for the last eyar. Hell I can't even afford my own but at a point this year I wanted to give my current premium away (which was gifted to me) to someone who I felt was more deserving after asking the kind sole who gifted it to me if I could do so. Alas as far as I know, it can't be done but the point here is that we can't for instance measure the amount of effort or time someone is taking and those with smaller wallets who may want to give more of actual realisable value simply can't.

Also MVP wont really work as I'm sure there are lots of non premos that are just as valuable and would be excluded from the vote.
 
I did think of that to, on the basis of it appearing that premos are more valuable, in an ideal world we could do one for each major section but thats seriously time consuming.
 
Way to not promote the often debated possibility of elitist attitude of some premiums. Perhaps there is a lower proportion of quality members when expressed as a %, but there's certainly some if not plenty of members who still post to a high standard without the red name.
 
In a word, yes. Am I expected to highlight every post to check for things like that? :lol: It's not unreasonable from what I've seen to expect some people to be thinking that, perhaps it should be more clear next time. What happened to good ol' [/sarcasm]?

I do think people should support the site if they spend a lot of time here though. It only seems fair.

I can't think of any important incidents, perhaps I'd get it for general stupidity?
 
In fairness you have been alot better. I used to be just like you in my first couple of years. I only recently realised how annoying I must've been.

lol, I only know of like 3 girls here who might get voted for. You, Wenders, and itgirlxx although I haven't seen her post at all really.

I'd say Stig might be in the running for most improved. I do know who I'm going to vote for the Darwin award.

Yeah, it doesn't help that people here know me as the annoying and retarded 12-13 year old version of me. I even needed to take a rather large break in order to get my act together, I'm down to my last infraction.

EDIT: Darwin Award is a no contest for me. :D
