Ok, here's how this'll work.
I had the idea of doing an imaginary "GTP Car design" series, in which
all the aspects of the car are nominated for and eventually put to poll.

For example- Week 3 engine source.
People would nominate engines that they would like this imaginary car to have, and eventually a poll will be created with the most popular ideas.

I also thought it would be a nice friendly show of talent to ask some of the talented computer artists on GTP to come up with designs which could also be poll'd.

I'd like some feedback on this idea please, and also some suggestions for the aspects.:)

Sounds like a pretty cool idea, I say give it a go.
 
It seems like a good idea, although we have a thread very similiar to this one. But, it could be fun.

Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft.......

Doing it by hand would be the best way to throw down various designs. Rendering something takes a long time, and it might not be worth the effort for something that wouldn't turn out so great. Rendering the final product would be cool though.

How do we start? I'm presuming a brief?

Purpose
Price range
Drivetrain
Engine position
target market (competitors)
 
I say we start with what kind of car/truck/SUV/van

In that case, a new Audi sportscar (not some TT garbage) that looks awesome.
 
lets worry about purpose/target market/brand before packaging and engine options. i sense loads of ideation sketching within the next weeks...
 
:odd: In that case if I find that there are morons in here that have time to sketch and can draw, your ass better be in the Car draw comps. WTF? :grumpy: We are hurting for people, there's a link to the car draw comps in my sig btw.
 
been kinda busy with school and work but with winter break coming up, im sure i can pump out some stuff 👍 ill post up my stuff if you guys want to see over in the drawing forum

We need a Flow chart to determine our POA :D
 
Eh ah your chart is flowey isn't it exige lol, no one mess with someone. If they have a chart because they have a chart.

Perhaps it's a different meaning, but I'm lead to believe POA stood for piece of azz?
