Hey guys so I would post this in the course making area but I want for it to get a bit of more coverage. Maybe if the mods decide this should be moved there then do so. But anyways let me get to it:

I am in the search of the best track ever made in Course Maker. Thing is I want to make this video series that features many players from GTP and they can talk why they think that is the best track made in Course Maker and so forth.

I would rate the track on variety of the track, difficulty, is it ideal for any car type?, are there any parts on the track that can be edited? etc.

I know Course Maker is not the best system to make tracks but I've seen so many great tracks made in them (some more fun that the in game tracks) that I think that we can find some great tracks and make community videos of them. They would be going up to my YouTube channel since I have the cap card and all the editing software and I'll be editing of course. It will be kind of a talk show I guess and I could talk about the track in detail and some general tips for when you are riding on it. And I would love to talk with the creator in why did they chose to do certain stuff and why would they chose that setting etc. Think it's a good idea. We can make this to a fancy post, sticky it and such if it takes off! :)

Some of my friends and I have what we call a sandbox league. Every week one of us will make a track and have specific hp and weight restrictions. Best time and cleanest lap are awarded. Usually 400hp and 1000kg.
But here's the catch. After the first sector the track width must be -5. This leaves NO room for error.

Also to be noted; I have made a few tacks, and seen plenty more, that rival the flow, beauty, and difficulty of the ring.

My god I've downloaded so many tracks from different places... they are all so amazing when compared to a lot of the ones in the game... I mean really amazing. I think that this could be a great way to see what people have done and making a weekly episode wouldn't hurt I guess and at the end of the year we chose the best one.

Keyring 4.0 takes the cake, if you ask me. It's a course I made back in March and it's a very good track with a high average speed, 53 turns, 6.14 miles, medium banking turns, etc. I've made 150+ tracks since I've had the game, driven countless others and in my opinion this one is the best. I have re-edited it many times to get it just right. I would enjoy to be a part of this. I like the idea, so just keep us posted on what's going on with this.

Sure will. It's getting late here so I'll have to post something up tomorrow but I wanna see if I want to get at least 5 people and release a episode weekly maybe every Friday. But like I said I would love to be able to talk to the creators let it be over skype or whatever and I'll just get some footage and maybe make 5 to 6 minute weekly videos... Then have some PSN online ID's that will work as the public downloading place. And we should make many ID's and maybe get them handled by some set staff from the site of course.

This is one of the best ideas I have came across in a long time. As soon as I get the time il get a video of a couple of my tracks and post them. I don't always make tracks in the course maker, but when I do I make sure they have the same passion the ring itself has.
Most amazing track in the world :sly:

Ps. Off-topic: When I do :sly: does it actually come up as a smiley or do I look like an idiot typing ": sly :" (without spaces)? I only browse the forum on my droid and every smiley comes up as :blablabla: so does :sly: work or am I going to be :grumpy:?

I know... But I guess it won't hurt to try some creations made in there... Some tracks are more difficult (and longer due to their complexity) than nurb so...

Oh yeah I forgot something. My friends and I have a weekly race we do. We call it sandbox racing. One of us will make a track at least 7 miles long and here's the cool part. The first sector is left alone, the rest must be set to -5 width. With no room for error things can get real bad REALLY fast. Most of these tracks come out beautiful.

Edit: no more late night posting for me. How the heck did I miss that I mentioned all this in my first post. *facepalm*
