Additional Information: Ford's Model A was a great success considering the hardships of the Great Depression. But by the early 1930's, many lower priced car makers started producing inexpensive cars with larger and more powerful engines.
Ford was falling behind in terms of technology and styling of their cars. The Model A was more of a refined Model T. Chevrolet as well as other lower priced competitors had much better performing straight-6s compared to Ford's aging 4-cylinder.
Ford built a brand new car for 1932. Not only was the car more stylish and contemporary looking, it was available with Ford's all new flathead-V8 for the Model 18. It changed the world. It was the first affordable and mass produced V8 powered car. It was considered high performance for the time. Combining it's great performance and the car's handsome styling, the 1932 Ford soon became the pioneer of hot rodding and street racing with young Americans soon after WWII. The 1932 Ford had started America's love for the V8 and has shaped American car culture forever.

On one side, these would be familiar to gangster back in the day - the other, hot-rods, and those were real hot back then, still hot to this day! Plus, vintage cars are a serious weak point of mine.

Into the cryo box with this one.

Awesome car. SZ.

Handsome styling, good power for the time. Popular with Gangster's back in the day. Clyde Barrow (of Bonnie & Clyde) wrote a letter to Henry Ford praising the Ford V8.
