Additional Information: Gordon Buehrig, who was responsible for many designs for Stutz and Duesenberg, created the new Auburn 851 Boattail Speedster. By many, it is arguably one of the most memorable and beautiful American cars. It’s performance was staggering for the time. The 851 featured a supercharged straight-8 and was equipped with a Columbia dual ratio rear axle adding a whole new dimension to its drivability/speed. The 851 Speedster was the first stock American car to exceed 100 MPH for twelve hours. With only 500 produced, it is one of America’s most collectible sports cars.

This is a handsome classic car. I know more about Auburn University than the Auburn car company. It still gets my Sub-Zero call.

About a cool as you can absolutely get. Type of car Jay Gatsby would drive.

Honestly gives the Bugatti’s of the time period a run for their money.
