And it has been around longer than most of you, therefor it is old, and thus it must be cool.

Dennis, only millennials know how cool a car can be, we are the future holders of the world, we got this. :sly:

But to be serious for a moment; even though I was born in 1991, I have the ability to see what is and what is not a cool car.

I'm happy to let it be known that I like a good B-Body. I have very fond memories of my Dad's '81 Caprice Coupe, and get to relive them a bit with my brother's '78 Bonneville. Granted, the Caprice had an engine-swap from a late-model Monte Carlo SS, and the Bonneville musters about with the "reasonable" 301 V8. But a diesel-powered B-Body? No. I'm sorry. I mean, it's "cool" in a "Hey, look at that" sense, and that's really about it. In the context of the era, it was a joke, and not much more.

The only thing worse than that from GM at the time was the 8-6-4 Cadillacs. God help them all.

The 8 6 4 was a good theory that just never worked in practice.

Modern tech has since made it work well, but more like 8 4.

My hat is off to GM for trying a lot of new things back then like the turbo 301, 8 6 4 and the 350 diesel. Interesting and cool ideas, just poorly executed.
