Additional Information:
In April 1981, Lotus introduced the Esprit Turbo and the naturally-aspirated Esprit S3, which marked a necessary consolidation that both new models shared a common chassis. While the S3 continued to use the 2.2 liter Type 912 engine of the S2.2, the Turbo Esprit reverted to a less complex wet-sump lubrication system, retaining the power and torque outputs of its dry-sump predecessor. Externally, the Turbo Esprit retained the full aerodynamic body kit of the Essex cars, and featured prominent 'turbo esprit' decals on the nose and side. For the 1985 model year, both the S3 and Turbo underwent some slight alterations to the bodywork and to the front suspension. In April 1986, the final incarnations of the Giugiaro-styled Esprit were announced, with higher engine compression. This increased the output to 172 HP for the naturally-aspirated Esprit HC, and 215 HP for the Esprit HC Turbo. For markets with stringent emissions requirements, Lotus introduced the HCi variant with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection and a catalytic converter, making it the first Esprit with fuel injection. In 1987, the Esprit HC and Esprit Turbo HC were replaced with a redesign of the Esprit designed by Peter Stevens.

While I loathe modern exotics, their retro counterparts are just dandy. :D

Cool.

One of the most badass looking machines to come out of a time period predominantly filled with appalling, lifeless cars.

Sub-Zero for me

Such a classy and cool design, and a generally brilliant machine. However that said I do prefer the Julian Thomson S4 redesign.

The 2CV that the man had to settle with is cooler by a slither. It's still cool, though.

Bond Car = Automatic cool.

Bond Car + Turbo written down the side + white letter Goodyears + Pop up headlights = Super SZ.

James Bond drove this one in For Your Eyes Only. This is one of my favorite cars that Bond has driven, and it is also my favorite cars of all-time, because it's a turbocharged, wedge-shaped sports car...how 80's can you get? Sub-Zero.

That's highly up to debate, but not here, if there's a car I can name it was at least quite cool, for sure, it's the Countach. Even though I'm not a fan of it.

The only cool Countach in my opinion is the seventies one.

Then it seems our tastes vary - big time. For your luck, I won't judge. Again, this is the total utter wrong place for it so, let's make sure we don't end up starting something here, eh?

Lardy plasti-nasty, Lotus got it right with the Esprit but not in that generation. Add the super-uncool Roger Me Moore cheese connection and... meh at best.
