Maybe my Father's love of the IROC Camaro (and having owned one) and those type of 3rd Gen F-body cars. I think they're ugly, underpowered and even bigger way of saying f:censored: yeah murica. The sad reality was they weren't even close to the highest performing GM car you could get (nor was the Corvette for that era), though the 1LE IROC looked somewhat cool stock and could be taken to SCCA from the dealer it wasn't amazing.

Sadly I know far more about these cars (for reasons on line 1) then I really wish I did. Yes they can be made quite cool and fast depending on preference but then again that doesn't define the cool wall are the cars voted on it. This car is an uncool for me. Oh wait, this is the Firebird which to me is worse because it's far more ugly the carried over graphics from the 1st gen don't match the shape or the body of this, and not to be stereotypical but it seems like the quintessential up star sports car for any Mexican trying to become a drug lord...or at least that's the way I always felt around my relatives that owned one (no none were drug lords...long).

Anyways yeah...probably the most hated era of American cars for me, and the most uncool group I can think of next tot he box shaped sedans that the Big 3 produced during the same era.

As I child I loved Knight Rider, but K.I.T.T still managed to scare me similar to the talking couch in Pee Wee Herman's playhouse.

Actually I remember that the convertible looked pretty good, which if I had remembered sooner I'd have put it an uncool...too late now.

Here in old Italy the Firechicken doesn't appeal to the mullet-and-wifebeater crowd, because gladly there isn't one. And as far as styling goes, the third-gen F-Bird is one of the few American cars from the 80s that doesn't make me reach for my puke bucket. Not as cool as the late second-gen models, sure, but it'd still rate as a high-cool...

If it weren't for the Iron Duke and the LC1 engines. And the 1988 notchback version. And the '91 restyling. And KITT - because while there are no rednecks in Italy, there surely are a lot of people who've watched Knight Rider (or as it is unironically called 'round here, Supercar). And they cringed. And they're gonna ask you, "isn't that the same model as the car from Supercar?" and then they're going to think you're some sort of simpleton who enjoys his car simply because it starred in a series together with the Hoff.

It all balances out to a meh.

KITT is a Sub Zero, so the regular karr (ha, see what I did there) is cool. Always liked the look of this Firebird, especially the GTA version. I'll take one painted in Earnhardt's colours please.

The latest in a long line of cars polled recently that I quite like, but really aren't cool. Give it another 10-20 years to fall out of mullet-toting, string-vest wearing hands and to be driven and appreciated as a classic, and it'll skip up to a cool. But not yet.

Never understood why they did the awful hack job on the front anyway. Everyone knew the 4th generation was imminent, so it didn't help sales any.

Try to finish sentence but you can't
Is it a bird?, is it a plane?, is it a train?, is it an automobile? It's Hassel Hoff! hah hah haa!
