Got excited thinking my Countach would be polled this week. But no.

Let's be honest here, this should never have be rated below sub zero by anyone.

It's a gorgeous car with decades of racing heritage, and that's not even mentioning the huge technological marvels that this car has hidden beneath its pretty exterior, an-oh who am I kidding there is literally no way this deserves anything above uncool.

For a week for now, then if @White & Nerdy wants it back he can take it, if not then a temporary curator will take over from the 2nd until I return from my vacation

I have shown interest in doing this...

---

This car is like mine, so much Meh I can care less.

I'm not sure if you could blend into the background anymore than when you're in this.

And that's why this is seriously uncool.

I want to like Mitsubishi. The third gen Magna and eighth gen Galant are beautiful. The Lancer Evo and Carisma are legendary sports cars.

The same Carisma that was a throw-about of random parts in a tin-can body that's ridiculed by everyone to this day? IMHO even the racing-spec version hardly compensates for the disposable beige econobox image it represents in it's everyday clothes. :indiff:

"You talking poppycock about my mode of transportation, youth?"

Hard to believe it was a Volvo under the skin. Plus Mitsubishi's attempt to create an uber-conservative car for the EU market made the first gen S40 seem practically vivacious.

Co-developed with Volvo, used Renault diesels and gearboxes (ghrrr), assembled in Netherlands. The car is a Lada-wannabe and it lets you know that on every opportunity. Ghrrrr... So beige...

I struggle to see how a car being co-developed with Volvo, using Renault engines and gearboxes, and being assembled in the Netherlands is a bad thing.

I think a good acid test for 'cool' is to consider how you'd feel picking up a date in it. Quite frankly I wouldn't even turn up in it. I'd tell my date that it got stolen and that's why we're walking.
Funny do people really care what kind of car their date picks them up in? Beyond it being a total ratty POS I couldn't see it having a bearing on it at all unless you are picking up a gold digger. Hell I picked up my wife on our 1st date in my '95 Legacy which looks like a golf ball due to hail damage.

I tried to think of a nice thing to say about this car. I failed.

"It's no longer in production"? Does that count?

Seriously Uncool. I saw one just today actually, and I can't think of many cars out on the road that more openly tell all other road users "I utterly fail to give a 🤬 about anything".

I wasn't aware that people cared.

24 threads followed by a 2 week break, and the threads would be posted eventually so why does it matter.

We like activity. Lots of threads and posts means lots of page views. This means lots of ad views. Which is good for the forum.

What isn't good for the forum is if nobody participates in the voting. If you have too many Cool Wall threads, people won't bother posting and voting in all of them. Some people are only on once or twice a day, or every other day. Which means some of those threads will get almost completely ignored.

Once a day is more than enough. If you want, you can compose everything right up, copy paste them (switch to BB Code editor view first) to MS Word or Notepad, and save them for later posting.

A mere uncool. Nothing much to hate about it, but it's not really special in anyway. It's not the quirky unicorn the 929 was, or the preening exercise in luxury that the Honda Legend was. It was simply a big car, and that was that.

Very generic sort-of-upscale sedan from an also-ran manufacturer here in the US. You drive a Mitsu-what?

Uncool.
