1997-2006 Land Rover Freelander '3-door' nominated by @Turbo
Body Style: 3-door convertible
Engine: 1.8L I4, 2.0L BMW Diesel I4, 2.0 L-Series Diesel I4, 2.5L V6
Power: 95-174 hp
Torque: 154-177 lb-ft
Weight: 1380-1525 kg
Transmission: 5-speed automatic, 5-speed manual
Drivetrain: front engine, front-wheel drive, front-engine, all-wheel drive
Additional Info: Was built in both England and Thailand, but was originally planned to be constructed in Finland. This was Land Rover's first entry to the compact SUV market; it's primary competitors were the Jeep Wrangler, Suzuki Escudo, Isuzu Amigo, and Toyota RAV4. From 1997-2002, it was the best-selling AWD vehicle in Europe. The bulk of the parts used on the Freelander came from the Austin Maestro. Oddly enough, the Freelander was also intended to be badged as a Hyundai for Asian markets, but this never happened. Some Freelanders were sold in Australia, America and Canada. The Freelander featured unibody construction. The V6 model got a 0-60 time of 11.1 seconds, and in it's slowest spec it achieved a time of 14.6 seconds. Unlike other Land Rover vehicles sold at the time, this generation of the Freelander was not a luxury vehicle.
