It's a car that doesn't know what it wants to be. It's not a successful attempt to be both a hot hatch and a coupe so it should've been either one or the other.

Plus it'll be quite undignified for passengers getting out of the back from behind the driver.

Uncool.

Really not that bad looking especially in person for what it is, but where it tries to imitate lower versions of more expensive brands (Audi for example) it fails to provide what they do. Nice shell, but eco underneath and if I'm going to bother buying a car that is somewhat sporty looking I'd appreciate if it replicated that beyond the looks with performance.

With that said I give it an uncool.

Would be cool if it had 2 doors or 4. But now it's just stupid.

Seriously uncool.

I've had a soft spot for it since release. Red seems to be a rare colour for it, so I refer to each one I see as a Velobster.

It's Uncool, though. Not seriously, since it at least showed Hyundai put effort into making something unique, but it has too many compromises.

Uncool. I do wonder though if the turbo ones are still woefully underpowered like the NA ones are. I like the car and think it's kind of funky, but it just isn't a good mix.

I think in 25 years or so, the weirdness of the doors and fairly pleasant looks might make this an interesting oddity. For now though, it's uncool.

It doesn't shout uncool but it doesn't shout cool either. Meh

No. I drove a Pro-underscore-Cee-apostrophe-d Gee Tee which has this same engine and it is very surprisingly rapid for a 1.6. Loads of bottom end torque.

Unlike that car though the Veloster is Uncool. Has a much better name than the Kia but unfortunately the trade offs are the styling and the fact the handling is not as sweet.

Meh. Seems like a decent car and might be fun to drive, but I hate the door configuration and the slices underneath the headlights. Those slices look like they're vents, but when I got to look at them in person, they don't go anywhere. If they channel air into a flat area where the air can't escape, wouldn't they create drag and reduce fuel efficiency?

A car designed to drive people with ocd insane. Take away the extra door (or add one) and I would vote cool instead of seriously uncool.

I've seen a lot of these, but never noticed that they've got 2 doors on one side and 1 on the other.

Meh.

Not a coupe in any shape or form. It's just a 5 door hatchback on one side and a 3 door on the other. Dull and
pointless. SU.
