Uncool. It's just a big, bloated Aston that looks like it wants into inhale everything in front of it.

Serious:
I have a problem on how the facts will sway someone's vote. And if it does, it's most likely going the wrong way.

Not serious:

This car looks awful in photographs but really good in real life. Drops from SZ to Cool because the back seat is too cramped for such a large saloon car.

Sub Zero, as most Astons are to me.

I remember reading somewhere that the keys (The real one, not the valet key) had real sapphires in them. Couldn't find another place that said it though, so I left it out. Pretty sure it was Saabkyle04 in his video of the car.

Oh look, it's DB7 version 3.45/2 as a sedan! I'm still waiting for a wagon though.. SERIOUSLY UNCOOL.

The mere concept of this car is horrendously uncool.

That's what the Additional Info section of the nomination is for. It even says it in the OP:

Additional Information: Optional, but here is where you can include facts that may swing someones vote

The mouth is questionable, but other than that, it's better looking than most other big sedans, has that brilliant V12, it'll crush long distances on European road trips and it's an Aston.

Cool.

The pre-facelift version of the Rapide is a very cool car indeed. I constantly drool over the thing through every episode of NCIS: Los Angeles which I've been binging on lately.

This though, has been thoroughly ruined by trying to make the front look a little bit like someone's tried to horizontally stuff a jail cell in its gaping mouth.

It's still an Aston Martin so it's at least Cool but it's a very low Cool.

Well, it's 2 tons. A really heavy car, which makes it Seriously Uncool for me. Plus, those back seats are awfully cramped.

But the styling isn't that bad, which I guess bumps it up to Uncool.

Well, it's like this...

Oh no!! Mater's buck teeth!! Can't unsee!!:yuck:

Back to SU, then.

A disgusting face and a very small back seat. But it has a good engine. Meh

Terrible proportions and completely useless as a 4 seater.

Seriously, seriously uncool.

The proportions of the car hide its 4-door nature pretty well... but that mouth is even worse than the Focus ST's, and that's saying something.

I much prefer this grill to the previous fussy double grill. In most markets it's largely irrelevant due to it being covered to an extent with a front licence plate.

Shame you've never driven one. And it seems to me you're all judging a book by its cover.

There are two things about the Rapide that startle. One the game can recreate, one it probably can't. The latter is that the car shrinks around you when you drive it. You're aware it has some heft and length, but the harder you push, the smaller it seems to get. It makes the car precise in a way that it has no right to be, and fluid in exactly the same measure that a Bentley Continental GT is not.

The second is the brakes. The brakes are phenomenal. Not the carbon discs, the standard 'co-cast' steel brakes. You push the pedal, the car stops. The push the pedal harder, it stops faster. No mess, no fuss. Again and again.

Welsh B-roads are easy, but it's a bizarre experience which you only fully compute after you've reached your destination. You get out after punishing the car, and instead of the neat little sports GT you perceive you've been driving, you turn to see this physics defying two-tonne cruiseliner. It really is quite eye-opening - and smile inducing.

I agree that the S facelift wasn't the most... elegant of updates. I personally like it here, it's a bit different and the character of the car changes with a numberplate in place.

However, whatever it looks like, don't let that stop you. If you ever get the opportunity to drive one, you will be stunned.
