Dammit. I really like it, because so just so daft in its relentless aerodynamic exuberance. But its just so... uncool.
 
This really was the start (or close to it) of McLaren throwing up new models like they're on crack, or speed. Take your pick.

Plus it looks horrific.
 
I don't care that it is inceedibly fast and that all the aero is very functional.

It is absolutely hideous.

Call me crazy but I genuinely believe that the Senna is kinda like a modern F40 - a hardcore, focused track car with serious performance credentials and very little luxuries. It's moved the goalposts for the hypercars in the same way the F40 did for supercars... Suddenly aero is the coming to the fore of automotive technology, and this car has harnessed it in a way no other vehicle has. Cool.
 
Mclaren didn't have a single bit of balance when it comes to form and function, this car is Sin.

The most bizarre thing about this model is that it actually carries Senna's name. Sadly, its own styling went too far...

Normally a McLaren would be an automatic cool for me...Unfortunately I just cant do it this time. I understand what they doing, but it still has to look good !
 
It's one thing to completely change a well known car's looks and characteristics purely in the name of performance such as the C8 Corvette, but I see no problem doing this with a new top of the line model for a manufacturer that solely produces hypercars.
The Senna accomplished what it was made to do very well, and while yes it is ugly, we may not be thinking this way much in 20 years or so when all hypercars aiming for records look "ugly" for the sake of performance.
With that I say the Senna is sub-zero.
 
Definitely, 100% Sub-zero IMHO. This is a strange looking car and on the other hand a very interesting car which I really, really like.
 
I love it, I like the styling, but this car will be cool in at least 15 years, when it will be heralded as one of the greatest.

All that downforce is going to go to waste on the road, it will have enough mechanical grip to corner as quickly as is realistically feasible without it. On track you'd lap quicker in an older single seater for a 1/10th of its cost. It's also hideous. Seriously uncool.
 
Sure it is a very capable car, but it still very much function over form. Uncool.
 
Absolutely insane car, incredible technology, ludicrous looks. Does absolutely nothing for me like the old ones do. Park this next to an old squarebody chevy/ford truck and Id probably give more attention to the truck. Meh
 
Hugely capable and tremendous performance, but that styling is just so ungainly.
