There's just nothing appealing about this car to me. It's like a soviet-built version of the big fat '50s-'60s american cars I already don't care for, with a silly transmission, and a bit of a sordid history with the KGB. I voted Uncool.

I like this, strange sign of its times land yacht though it is. Quite like the boxy ones that came later too, though you have to wonder where all the power goes. Cool.

This engine (ZMZ-13) was quite good for the '50s. The block, cylinder heads, intake manifold and pistons were made of aluminium alloy - it was a pretty rare solution in that time. In America, aluminium engines have appeared in early '60s (but they didn't become widely used).

And the power was good enough for that time. For example, 1955 Packard Patrician had a 359 cu in (5,880 cc) engine giving out 212 hp - not much higher than Chaika's 195 with 5526 cc.

Since 1962, Chaikas were powered with an updated engine - ZMZ-13D, having max power of 215 hp.
But in the '70s, that power output per litre became seriously outdated.

Also, the underpowered version of this engine - ZMZ-41 - was installed on the BRDM-2 armoured scout car. And its versions with reduced displacement are still used in GAZ trucks and PAZ buses. "Everything new is the old forgotten well." :)

I like it. Cool interior, too. Sorry I missed the voting, but looks like it wouldn't have affected the final result anyway!

It reminds me of some video game equivalent to a real life car, such as a car you'd find in GTA or something.

Reminds me a little bit of an Alfa, but just not quite so passionate. Hard to explain what I mean..

But it's still a good cool. Nothing more though.
