Yah! 4 more weeks of this and we're done. GT5 will (hopefully) be on the shelves within a few weeks afterwards. If anything, this CTC sure is helping pass the time.

It seems to pass too quickly sometimes, especially when trying to get the results organised and posted :nervous:

I wonder what sort of race series we will meet up in with GT5 ?
I am hoping my current Race opponents and friends will be omnipresent :)

Yea, this has been fun, but personally I can't wait for GT4 to be over! I'm like dragging myself to the console every week to do these CTC races. :shrugs: But it would be cool to see some of you all in GT5. At least I know I won't be amongst a bunch of punters and stuff.
 
4 weeks is 7 x 4 = 28 and then we go 49 - 28 and we get 21 days. So, yeah, after this we should have 3 weeks left. Easier way would be to subtract 4 weeks from the 7 weeks left. :P

I'm trying to figure out how to sell the WII & games my wife bought last Christmas and get the PS3. How cold does it get in an unheated garage in Chicago during the winter? :sly:

edit: Got my lap work done. But might try it one more time.

Getting the feeling this track is going to favour the higher HP cars and the extra 5% I'm carrying won't help too much either. I'm just barely glimpsing 150mph before L'Arche Chicane prior to jumping hard on the brakes.

Some splits from my lap:

T3 2'12.636
T5 3'27.693

Lost a couple of 1/10ths exiting Indianapolis as I dipped 2 tyres in the sand momentarily but not a large enough error to justify redoing the lap again.
Everywhere else I have stayed within the white lines with 2 tyres at all times, there are only a few rumblies that the white line is on the outside of, or is not present at all. Dunlop Chicane, Esses, Tertre Rouge, L'Arche Chicane, La Florandiere Chicane, inside Mulsanne (although the exit rumbly is unbound), Porsche Curves, Maison Blanche & both Ford Chicanes have white lines inside the rumblies, so I've kept at least 2 tyres inside the line. It infuriates me when people blatantly cut the 2nd Ford chicane behind the rumble strip even if it is much quicker! :grumpy:
There's only really the exit of Mulsanne, a couple of kerbs on the run down to Indianapolis, & Arnage that're technically unbound as the white line either goes behind the kerb or becomes a broken line.

150? Sheesh I'm barely able to make 147 mph by that point. You ain't got nothing to worry about, SH. The Mustang has such a terribly tall 5th gear. I have the choice of leaving it in 4th (redlines heavily) or shifting up into 5th, which is so tall the Stang loses a couple mph before picking back up some speed!

While driving the MINI, I got frightened going down the straight. The tach needle was heading towards redline in 5th! 🤬 am I gonna have to deal with the RPM limit?

No. As it turns out, the MINI is a 6-speed, which I completely forgot it had 6 speeds. Phew. It's just that so far during these races, it's never made it past 5th gear!

Didn't try a second time. Figured I'll get enough practice this week.

Now that we are at the end stage for the series and GT4 in general. How do you guys go about tyre testing? I start with the hards and work my way down to softs. A sometimes long and laborious process.

Me too. I have always tried to drive in these online races as you would IRL. Doing that would wreck your car after a couple of attempts. Not to mention the financial repercussions, ie., race suspensions and looking for a new sponsor.:)

Holy "Stump pullin' torque of a Mustang" Batman! 4s down to PB! :scared:
150 miles, 17 laps, and 4s per lap difference. Hmmm. Even with the 'Stang's extra weight & tyrewear, you're still going to be taking back a pitstop every 6 laps from me, which leaves pole position all yours for this race.

This is marvellous! :D

It's basically means the season goes down to the last race! 👍
That's truly the sign of a well organised & thought out series! Kudos again to SuperShouden for the preparation, and viperin for seeing it through! :bowdown:

Hoy. Wow, I didn't expect to make pole in GS. :boggled: I had an even faster lap than 4:44, but when I looked at the replay it wasn't clean so I couldn't submit it. Still, I don't expect to actually win Sarthe in the 'Stang. I'm not usually able to re-create qualifying lap magic consistently during actual races.
