GTP irc channel

Will GTP have an irc channel so people can discuss about GT games in real time?

Yes. Around the time the HMRCWG thread was closed, Jordan experimented with a GTP Chat function. It was up for a few hours and turned into a giant cesspool/flamefest almost immediately. He closed it and has expressed no interest in repeating the experiment.

there can be many channels in irc for example GT4 or Drifting etc. so people go the channel they need help with, i really like irc, and if GTP had an irc channel it would be really gr8

edit: irc is really helpful to some newbs in GT or just people who have questions, and u can chat, share info on GT, its really usefull, also since many people would of course be joining if there would be an irc channel, as i said b4 there should be a lot of channels on the irc server, for people to go to, and even out the amount of people talking at the same time
edit 2: oh yeah and also we can become more friendly and get to know each other more as we chat

I did create an IRC channel before but nobody joined. If you was wondering, it was #gtplanet on GameSurge. It'll be empty now but PM me and I'll join.

I cannot run IRC on my server, it is prohibited by my web hosting provider.
